   when you say it didn’t work me, do you mean the file doesn’t work or you can’t obtain the cd key with above method? Some things to try

   1) did you make sure you loaded the extractor program prior to launching the Warcraft game?

   2) Go ahead and create a game in local area network

   Yeah, its not working for me either and I tried both things mentioned above but it still didn’t work.

   If you use Vista, you need to run the CD-Key grabber under the administrator account. Right click the W3CDKeyGrabber and click “Run as Administrator”. Everything else works as outlined in the article. Have fun :p

    ran extractor program as Run as Administrator”. opened Warcraft III and it worked fine. this version works on version 1.21e no problem

    Yeah that worked as you told (Win XP SP2)! Thanks a lot! We mixed our WC3 cd’s in lan party, that solved the problem.

    If you are running a vista. U should “Run as adminstrator”. It worked for me

    dude u right click and go run as administrator.

    if u arent admin, ask the admin to do it, unless ur not authorised, in which case go home

    Hi, Thanks so much for this post, i recently lost my Warcraft3 & Warcraft3 TFT Cd case and was unable to retrieve my Cd-keys. After my computer was reformatted Warcraft3 & ‘ ” ” TFT’ were unable to update from battlenet so i was unable to play Warcraft3 online.

    Thanks for saving me $50.00 and allowing me to reinstall Warctaft3 &’ ” ” TFT’.

    I didn’t tried that yet, but I have few questions.

    First of all, warcraft 3 asks cd key before u start to install. How can I launch warcraft before I install it? I mean CD key will be required before i install right?

    Second, does that works on bnet as well?

    At least you got it to work, unlike some others who can’t follow directions.

    Okay…I am running windows vista and I have the W/C 3 cd in the cd rom…I d/l the key grabber and am running in admin mode. when the w/c opens up it will not let me install without a cd key, and also when I open it I DO NOT SEE LAN anywhere. if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Idiot? Any occurance to you that there could of been a misunderstanding of the use of the program. This link appears under many different kind of searches revolving around stealing Warcraft Keys, or trying to find a NEW one. Personally thats what I was doing. But I’ll just go ask a friend for theirs.

    On the other hand, this is a very good program, if using it for the right things.

    Very VERY nice! Blizz just opened up their store to register keys, and I’ve lost my disks since then. This kept me from having to buy the game all over again!

    I’m having problems trying to track my CD Keys. I load this program, then startup WC3 and go to LAN, nothing happens. I’ve tried everything i can think of so far yet no luck. I’m using windows XP atm, any advice would be appreciated.

    is there a way to decrypt your cd key from the listchecker.ini file once it has been encrypted?

    the encrypt in the .ini file has the cd key mixed in with a bncha random numbers/letters. so unless you’re good at guessing, or know all the letters but dont know the order… [which i doubt is the case] then you cant decrypt

    This Program is awesome. It worked Great!!
    This Program saved me from buying another copy that I already had. A friend wanted to borrow it to play but the CD-Key some how got damaged and they wanted $10.00 just to replace the Key.

    I lost my serial key and my disk was broken into a number of pieces by a roving computer chair wheel.

    I had 2 cd keys before 1 on each computer. In the last dota patch it messed up on one of my computers and i took the cd key i found and put it in my machine.

    Now it happens that it was the cd key for my other pc……. So right now i cant find my other cd code……

    I tried this method and it as i figured it would ….. it showed me both the same Key codes because i put the wrong one in…..

    Is there anyway to get my other cd code back?

    Thanks, worked fine, I lost my TFT CD, box and key, so this was my only solution and it worked, now I can download TFT… Hate doing so but I paid for the game and I totally can’t find it anywhere so yeah, thanks a bunch.

     The pricks at blizzard told me to buy a new game!! We already own three copies and this particular comp had its game on it but had a defect and needed to be reinstalled. We just couldn’t find the case for it with the numbers, but had the disk. I told the guy that and that was his option. This crap is why people hate big business.

     doesn’t work. I don’t have vista. I run the program, then launch WC3, then go to Local Area Network. Even create a game. But when I alt-tab out, nothing appears. No error messages. No fail messages. Just nothing comes up.

     It’s weird I moved my computer and had to mess with my network settings. (I changed my static Ip to 192.168.0.4 due to someone taking 192.168.0.3 while I was moving it. Now when I tried to host with pickup list checker it gave me the error “Failed to hash WAR3 key” I haven’t messed with my configuration settings since I last hosted. (and I changed the forwarding on my router.)

     Just to make sure I didnt by accedently mess up the config file I, (due to my loss of my cd cases), I downloaded cd w3 cdkey grabber and re imputed the keys and password that it gave me. I followed everything I could find and now it gives me the message
     code=203 - Wrong product (war3 key)

     So does this program work and give accurate keys? (the keys look right I recognize them)

     And what could have caused the “Failed to Hash error” message? Everything looks fine.

     The odd thing is I can still connect to battlenet. so the keys I installed with are good.

     Any idea’s?

     1) This will RECOVER the current CD-Key you are using for Warcraft
     ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
     2) It is NOT a KeyGen, or a Bypasser
     ¯¯¯
     3) YOU MUST HAVE WARCRAFT III INSTALLED TO USE IT!!!

     4) You open Warcraft III and click “Local Area Connection” [Not explore around xp/vista
     looking for "Local Area Connection (Omfg some..............tards)]

     5) IT DOESN’T STEAL YOUR KEY!!!!!

     I got a new pc with win7, i copied over the game folder as i dont have the
     cd-case no more. It was ok to play the game but i wanted a fresh install
     from my battle.net account, this tool helped me get my keys back!
