Latest BNET Patch 1.22 Requires New Listchecker File (June 30th, 2008)!
With the new BNET Patch, you will no longer be able to host with LC unless you download the new listchecker file. You can Download the latest listchecker file here. Replace this file with your old pickup.listchecker.exe file.
Introduction
Listchecker (a.k.a. pickup.listchecker) is a third party application that will allow you to host games on Battle.net with a significant improvement in latency. Since I haven’t seen any good tutorials on how to install / setup / use Listchecker, I decided to write one to make things easier on anyone who wants to use the program. When I host with Listchecker, pings to other players usually range from 10ms to around 30ms. For the most part, the people who join my games are pleased with their pings and always compliment me on the smooth hosting and lack of delay. This tutorial will show you how to install Listchecker for either Windows XP or Vista, and how to use the basic commands. Note: You must be able to host games on battle.net normally, or else Listchecker will not work!
If you’re looking for an alternative to Listchecker or can’t get Listchecker to work, try DotA Client!
If you are having any problems installing LC, PLEASE do a search within the comments section as the same questions have been answered multiple times!
Part 1: Download the Files
First, download the zip file.
Create a new folder, and extract the files into there. I chose to create a new folder called listchecker and placed it in the Warcraft III directory. At this point, you may want to create a shortcut to this folder on your desktop for easy access.
Part 2: Install WinPcap
If you already have WC3Banlist installed, then you most likely already have WinPcap installed. If so, you can skip Part 2, and move on to Part 3. Otherwise, download and install WinPcap.
Part 3: Configuring the pickup.listchecker.ini file
This is the most difficult part of this tutorial and needs to be completed correctly or else the program will not work. First, open the pickup.listchecker.ini file by double clicking it. You should see the following:

The following is a brief description of each field.
- bnetnetwork: this is the name of the network that you play on, i.e. uswest.battle.net, useast.battle.net, europe.battle.net, or asia.battle.net.
- bnetkey1: insert your Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos CD key here
- bnetkey2: insert your Warcraft III: Frozen Throne CD key here
If you do not have your CD key information readily available, learn how to extract your Warcraft CD keys.
- bnetacc: insert your Battle.net username here
- bnetpass: insert your Battle.net password here (if your password contains any special characters like
Ø, ListChecker may not work properly. You may have to change your password to get ListChecker to work) - war3dir: insert the directory path of Warcraft III here
- hostport: the default value is 6112. this value should not be changed unless you use a different port to host your Battle.net games.
Once you have entered in all the information, save the file.
Part 4: Initializing Listchecker
Double click on the pickup.listchecker.exe file. You should see the following prompt:

Click yes.
Listchecker then goes on to encrypt the CD keys and the battle.net password in the ini file. Just press OK on all three dialog boxes.
If everything was done correctly, you should see the following screen:

Now we are ready to host a game on Battle.net.
Part 5a: Disable all other network cards that are not in use
This step seems to help many people in setting up Listchecker (Special thanks to John Holmes for pointing this out). You can disable your unused network cards by going to “Start” => “Control Panel” => “Network Connections”. Right click on the network cards that are inactive, and disable them. Since there is no way to configure which network card Listchecker decides to use, the next best thing to do is to disable all the network cards that are not in use.
Part 5b: For Windows Vista Users
If you use Windows Vista, you must perform these extra steps to run listchecker:
- Right click at pickup.listchecker.exe and choose Properties
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as an administrator.
- Click Ok

Part 6: Using ListChecker to host public games
Launch pickup.listchecker.exe.
Launch Warcraft III, and go to Local Area Network.
Create a game with the desired map. You will notice that pkp.listchecker will have joined your game immediately, as shown in the image below.

To host a public game on battle.net, use the following command:
/hostbnetpublic gameName
So for example, if we want to host a public game called dota 6.48b –ap USA LC HOST! we would type in /hostbnetpublic dota 6.48b –ap USA LC HOST!, as shown in the figure below.

Similarly, if you wanted to host a private game, you would omit the public, and it would just be:
/hostbnet dota 6.48b –ap USA LC HOST!
Listchecker will confirm that the game has been created.

If the game was not created successfully, then the information in the pickup.listchecker.ini file is incorrect or the game name you chose has already been used. Go back and check the pickup.listchecker.ini file and make sure all the information is correct, or try another game name.
Two other useful commands are:
/refreshbnet– this refreshes the game within Battle.net/pingclients– this copies the ping information for all current players onto the clipboard. Press control-V to paste the information onto the chat line.

em> file is incorrect or the game name you chose has already been used. Go back and check the pickup.listchecker.ini file and make sure all the information is correct, or try another game name.

Extra: Listchecker and Hamachi
Listchecker works with Hamachi as well. If you are on a Hamachi network and host a public game on Battle.net using the /hostbnetpublic command, anyone on the Hamachi network can join your game. Thus, if you have other friends who don’t have a cd key, you can host a game using Listchecker and then have your friends (who don’t have CD keys) join via Hamachi!
To be more specific
- Join desired Hamachi Network.
- Open up pickuplistchecker.exe.
- Open up Warcraft III.
- Go to LAN and host a game. Use the /hostbnetpublic command.
- Players on your Hamachi network can join the game. In addition, players on BNET will be able to join your game as well!
Other Issues, Tips, and Troubleshooting
-
If you are having any problems installing LC, PLEASE do a search within the comments section as the same questions have been answered multiple times!
-
If you are using a wireless connection (which I do not recommend) then you may have to disable all the other Network Interface Cards (NIC) through the device manager since there is no way to configure which NIC Listchecker uses (or no way that I know of).
Thanks to John Holmes for this tip!
-
There have been many reported problems with cracked versions and foreign versions of Warcraft III not working with Listchecker. Unfortunately, there seems to be no solution at this time. Any new information on this issue will be posted here in the future.
-
Windows Vista and wireless adaptors also seem to cause trouble, resulting in Winpcap from functioning properly. Any new information on this issue will be posted here in the future.

/refreshbnetis actually not required but recommended. The game actually refreshes itself every 10-15 seconds automatically. So just sit there and it will autorefresh . . . which sometimes makes the other players antsy because they are used to seeing the host close and open slots to “refresh” the game. Just inform the other players that LC automatically refreshes, although this causes some people to leave the game in disbelief. -
If you attempt to use the “custom kick” hack, it will drop all players.

Best listchecker tutorial I have seen. Thanks for the detail tutorial.
Good guide! helped me !
how do we turn off auto refresh?
Unfortunately, I don’t think it is possible to turn off auto refresh. I also do not recommend using custom kick, as it will disconnect everyone.
Type it in like if you were chatting with someone. Once you type it, your game will show up in battle.net, even though you are still in local area network. Once people start joining, its like any other regular game.
Listchecker will significantly reduce pings, but it won’t entirely remove all lag. So most likely, the people who do lag when you host using Listchecker is due to them being too far from you (e.g. from US to Malaysia) or them having bad connection.
Or, if you have torrents open, everyone is going to lag.
I believe LC is fantastic. I have one query. How the hell does that /refreshbnet work? How am I suppose to know its actually working? Am I suppose to type it several times or what?
Ok. I’ve figured out how that refresh works. But in all seriousness. That refresh is shit. But apart from that. Lagless games are the best games.
/refreshbnet is actually not required. The game actually refreshes itself every 10-15 seconds automatically, as I have recently come to realize. So just sit there and it will autorefresh . . . which sometimes makes the other players antsy because they are used to seeing the host close and open slots to “refresh” the game. Just inform them that LC automatically refreshes, although this causes some people to leave in disbelief.
The refresh is not very good at all. I do notice that it refreshes, but is it really even refreshing. I can possibly wait for ages before people join my game. Is there a way to use Banlist refresh with LC or another refresh application, or a way to make the refresh work more efficient? When I am on Bnet, the autorefresh from BL works wonders. Most of the games I host are based on the same name.
Quan Quach, i figured out the reason pkp.listchecker would never join. I recommend you include this in your main post.
I use wireless [bad for gaming, I know], which uses a different NIC than plugging in an ethernet cable.
Listchecker was using the wrong NIC.
Omfg.
As I was unable to find any way to tell listchecker which NIC to use, I got rid of the non-wireless one by disabling it in the device manager.
Thanks for the tip! I’m sure other people will appreciate it!
I have the same problem as cholofille,
i downloaded wincap 4.0.1 and it says
Error : couldnt open winpcap device
can anyone assist
sounds like a great program
I dont really got what john holmes said im from sweden and my english isnt the best :/ anyway the pkp.listchecker never shows up :O and i got all right i know that it just wont show up
Molpan, John was saying that:
If you are using a wireless connection to host your game, then you need to disable all of your other network cards. What this means:
(assuming you use windows XP as your operating system) Go to control panel -> network connections. Now disable any network cards that you are not using.
john holmes I LOVE YOU! I used 3 hours trying to get plc to work! Thanks so much!
wtf… i open my BNCStutil thing… then it says. error couldnt open wincap device..
then.. i open my pickuplistchecker,,, it says this application has failed to start becouse BNCSutil.dll was not found.. how can i fix this.. pls help..
why when i open my Pickuplistchecker i says,, error:couldnt open file…..
but i already have that.. BNCSutil.dll.. file.. pls help
Hello, Thank you very much for the helpful guide. I am unable to get it to function correctly. I have read many reviews and guides but when I create the lan game the bot does not join and i am unable to host the game. I have wincap installed and a working version of wc3banlist beta. I have tryed changing ports to host with, never having the same port as the program. I was wondering if it might have to do with my mother board having ethernet ports? Also I have port forwarded my router to I can host on bnet.
I was wondering if it might have anything to do with my mother board having 2 ethernet ports? Also I have portforwarded my router so I am able to make
ekim051084:
having two ethernet ports may be a problem. you should disable the ethernet port that you are not using. as someone mentioned in an earlier comment, he wasn’t able to get Listchecker working until he disabled all the other Network Cards on his computer.
Thus, I suggest you try disabling all of your other network cards. Restart the computer, and then reinstall listchecker. Sorry that I can’t be more helpful than that.
Zero:
I’m not sure what your problem is as I have never encountered it personally. In fact, I never expected there to be so many problems!! Anyhow, you aren’t supposed to open the BNCSutil.dll file. You might have done something to the BNCSutil.dll file, so I would suggest a re-download to make sure the file is not damaged or anything.
In addition, it never hurts to uninstall and reinstall winpcap. It seems like that is where your error is. I would suggest reinstalling winpcap, and using the stable version, 4.01. After that, reinstall listchecker and see how that goes for you. Once again, sorry I cannot be more helpful.
If anyone knows how to troubleshoot these problems, it would be greatly appreciated if you could post a solution!
Hello
I had the same problem as John Holmes. I just have vmware server installed on my computer… I disabled the 2 vmware NIC and now it works for me too
The guide is greate. good work.

Can you give us a little more detail on the problem? I have never heard of this error before, so more detail can help us track down what is going wrong.
any guide for hamachi?
A guide on Hamachi to host games? Or a guide on using Hamachi with Listchecker? Right now, no to both. If it is requested, I can create a tutorial.
hi i reinstall the listchecker and i follow the tutorial.

if you guys have a problem getting Listchecker to work, leaving a valid email when you comment is helpful so that I can contact you!
Well i downloaded… entered all fields as you said… Installed latest Winpcap (4.0.1).
When i try to load it (via admin rights, i am on Vista Home Premium), it says “cannot open Winpcap device”.
I reinstalled winpcap. Same.
I am playing on Wireless (my dad has a wireless router in his room next to mine, i connect to it via wireless adaptor), so i tried disabling my network card as said here. Still same problem.
Any advice?
It seems that some wireless cards are not supported, so your best bet might be to use your lan ethernet port.
I tried to. I Turned off the WI-FI router, and plugged the normal adsl modem into my ethernet. Same, nothing changed :/

hi
i know there is a tool with that u can kick in a lan game. this tool works with listchecker but i dont know where i can find it. someone knows that tool?

Blitzhop:
I do not know about this tool that you speak of. Maybe someone else does? Please share if you do!
Hey! Excellent guide, but I’m experiencing a problem… When I’ve typed /hostbnetpublic ‘game name’, pickup.listchecker.exe tells me that ‘Couldn’t find’, and then the directory path I typed. Am I doing something wrong, or could you tell me exactly where to get the right directory path?
Morten:
I think you configured the pickup.listchecker.ini file incorrectly.
Go back and make sure your “war3dir” field in the INI file is correct, and this should solve your problems.
Remember to close both pickup.listchecker and warcraft III before you open them again, so that the changes can take effect.
Thanks for the quick answer.
I mean, how should it not be correct? The directory path would be, for me: “C:\Programmer\Warcraft III”, Program files is spelled “Programmer” for me because I’m danish, I don’t know if that’s the problem, but if I rename it to “Program files” that would be an incorrect directory path… Don’t know if you follow me.
Morten:
I was able to recreate your same error when I put in an incorrect directory path for the “war3dir” field.
The correct directory is where your “Warcraft III.exe” file and “Frozen Throne.exe” files are located. I’m not sure if there are incompatible errors because of your danish version.
Yes! I made it work, it’s awesome and works a 100%. Thank you so much Quan Quach
Congratulations!! Lag free games are for the good of all Warcraft / DoTA palyers! We need more LC hosts!
Indeed mayn, but I’ve heard there’s a problem with LC hosting. Like in 50% of the games, a player will drop because of LC. I don’t know if it’s true, but what do you say to that?
Personally, I have never had a problem with people disconnecting from LC. But I have heard some less than pleasant things about it. Works well for some people, and doesn’t work well for others. I don’t know what the problem is per se, but works well for me. I’ve hosted over 500 games (rough estimate). I can honestly say the number of drops when I hosted using regular method over BNET and using Listchecker is not noticeable.
I get the “Failed to hash WAR3 key” what happend ??
Hey, ive been having some problems while hosting.. The main problem is that its VERY difficult to get people to join, but people do join, mostly french and Rus eventhough title says Swe only^^:. anyway, do you know if there could be any possible solution to that problem? I have a hard time figureing it out, since people CAN join, but dont. I didnt have the same problem while hosting via B-net
Hi nQb,
I think you may have inserted the cd keys incorrectly. My only suggestion is to reconfigure the INI file. Also, remember that hacked and cracked versions of wacraft is incompatible with Listchecker. Also, foreign versions of warcraft don’t seem to work with listchecker either. Hope this helps
Hi Sdrr,
I’m in the US, and I don’t really have any problems with people joining my games that are hosted by Listchecker. i’m not sure what can be done to be honest . . . sorry! Maybe someone else who reads the comments section can offer some insight.
I did everything according to the tutorial. When I host a game, listchecker joins it but when I type “/hostbnetpublic anygamename” it doesn’t say anything. a little screen pops up next to listchecker that says

wtf? That is not even close to my password ._.
Should I change the europe.battlenet.com thing to useast?
I don’t play on the euro server…
Cicatriz:
Yes, change it to
useast.battle.netAlso, your password is encrypted by listchecker after you save the INI file. So leave that as it is.
where are u suposed to write hostbnetpublic??? when u have hosted or before or???
EamonValda:
Once you create the game in LAN, you type in “/hostbnetpublic gameName”. Please review part 6 of this tutorial for more information.

Eamon,
make sure you’re on the correct server (useast.battle.net, uswest.battle.net, etc). In addition, try reconfiguring your .INI file again because you might have mistyped your password the first time through.
can it be becasue when it encrypts my password it doesnt get it right?? i have the letter Ø in it
Eamon,
Yes, I think there is a strong possibility that may be it. I would suggest creating a new user name/password on battle.net that uses normal characters, and testing to see if this new username works.
Ok I didnt have 2 running and now it says auth logonproof reply: code=2 - Incorrect password - Additional info:
Waftttt and Eamon,
Both of you seem to be having the same problem. Try to create a new account on battle.net using a simple username and simple password. Remember to change your .ini files to reflect the new username/password, and tell me how this goes.
Quan
OHHH YEAH thx so much
Sending auth logonproof is all it says now and i made a new name and restarted my comp…
sorry to be a pest… but i got it to work but no one joins… =\
Ok, here are results:
(vista home premium)
1) Settings -> Run as admin + Right-click -> run as admin
“Couldnt find Winpcap device”
2) UAC off -> run as admin
“Couldnt find Winpcap device”
3) I am running on Wi-Fi. Turned off all other NIC’s in control panel
“Couldnt find Winpcap device”
4) Turned off Wi-Fi NIC and used normal ethernet modem
“Couldnt find Winpcap device”
5) Used all the previous things at same time (run as admin, uac off, on ethernet modem with all other NIC’s turned off)
“Couldnt find Winpcap device”
I guess its just PUG for me then :/
Ok got it to work thanks man
Pro Guide. For the people above who can’t get the bot to join, try disabling all other network cards and create a new folder and put the listchecker files in there (instead of having it in the directory of the war3).
This is definitely one of the best and most comprehensive guides out there on LC.
Thank you Quan! I <3 you.
ALRIGHT I have tottaly found out WHY the password hasnt been working, but i have found out is that people usually place the wc3 cdkey in first and let it encrypt, after that they try to put in the account and pw later, That means your pw is not encrypted!!!! Thats why it tells you your PW is messed up!!! ^_^ I HOPE THIS HELPS =D
SO REmember reinstall pkp ini and put everything you need BEFORE you exit the ini file
Viper i got the same problem…. i got vista ultimate. Kinda shitty…. and my wc3banlist isint working too.
lc doesnt work properly for me. sometimes when i go in the create game part, the bot join and left and join and left. It’s really annoying.
game is successfully created… but noones joining
nm i fixed it, i switch the ports to 6113 and 6114. now the bot doesnt join and leave all the time.
You have to start the pkp first before wc3 and, itll only leave if someone joins your game like /hostbnet = Private /bnetpublic = public game
You need to write your acc and pass and all that things in both ini.files and notesblock.
I dl’ed my ini.files from http://bonta.kun.free.fr/listchecker/ It works for me now. ^^
I am having this problem “Error : couldnt open winpcap device”.
when I get and installed pkp listchecker and wincap in the other PC I get this error, but my previouc PC was alrite, I do not unerstand plz give solution
Hi guys, I’ve read somewhere that apparently a few people have gotten this to work with pvpgn servers. Anyone have any suggestions or tips, although I think I read somewhere this is being worked on with the actual program. thx
umm i still get a high ping(althogh friends tell me hosting is better) like i get 200+ pings on ppl when i use /pingclients sometimes over 1k i know this isnt real case, nothing else is running except for my clan bot

Is your warcraft III version a foreign version? It has been stated by some people that this causes problems for listchecker.
Liger:
Thundermonkey is correct. Its best to open up two ports for wacraft if you use listchecker. This way you can host via the normal method and the LC method without changing your ports.

We need some more details on what is not working. If the BoT is not joining your game then I can only assume that you did not set it up correctly.

The winpcap device error seems to happen a lot in Window Vista Systems. I’m not sure how to resolve this, sorry.
vista is crap idk y ppl are getting it
I have already put everything in ini file, but when i host bnet game, the screenshot didnt display the bnet key….i dun know y got this problem could anyone help me?
I got solve this problem but new one coming… when i host game screen just show me:
Connecting to U.S West.battle.net on port 6112
That’s it… Any idea about that?
Did you portforward 6112 to your Router or Firewall? So it can bypass it, with no interruption? That can by the problem because it might have not gotten through maybe same thing for WC3 Bnet ports
Great site, tutorial, the only problem is that i wont be able to spam my gamename/talk with friends on the channel
hello tt =]
Yea, i already port forward 6112 to my router and close my firewall. It still that..

I maybe found a solution for the “Error: couldnt open winpcap device”.
The files ( 3 ) needs to be in the folder :\Program Files\Warcraft III
I think Pkp reach Winpcap trought “../WinpCap/rpcapd”
Hope this will resolve u’re problems ^^
cecef@hotmail.com
There’s no doubt : that’s the solution
PlayHard.GoPro and where can i find folder “../WinpCap/rpcapd” ?
Your game has been created with success… but it doesnt work.. no one is joinning the game.. whats going on??
Tommy: make sure that the port that you designated in the listchecker.ini file is the correct one. Thats all that I can think of.
BlackSnow
Just install Winpcap in default folder ( Program Files\Winpcap ) and put all Pickup.listchecker files in \Program Files\WarcraftIII then launch pkp
U should got no error
( Sorry for my bad English
)
Tommy : Open slot 6113 ( Firewall => create new rule for FT executable )

If anyone couldn’t get LC to work, you should try DotA Client instead.
well i am totaly confuse i just wanted an auto but my friends told me to get this and i would like u to help me and guyd me throught the entire thing or tell me how to get my auto refresher working
Yo, i have a problem everytime i create a game [i can host] - my friend says that the game requires a password? whys this..i typed
/hostbnetpublic dota 6.49b -ap us/can pros lc!!
Hm, RogueAlchemist, I have never heard of such a problem, so not sure what the solution is. Can others join your game?
I’m having the same problem as Rogue Alchemist, except I’m on the other end. I cannot join my friend’s games when he runs listchecker. I’ve tried all the firewall and port solutions I can think of.
Since you guys can’t get LC to work, you should try Dota Client. It works just as good and is much easier to install!
Thank u for the guide it was really helpful
Umm… when i host it host the game in reign of chaos >.<
good site and i had it work.
but the problem is that, the LC is only for hosting on LAN but not on Bnet. That means i cant login into the bnet and check friends or join other people’s game.
Also, after i hosting a game and finish it/quit it, and try to login back to the bnet, it says:”the CD key provided is currently in use by plc (0) W3 ROC”.
Any ideas to solve these problems?
Will,
Unfortuantely, you cannot log into bnet while hosting a game using listchecker and using /hostbnetpublic
After you’re done hosting the game, you should be able to log back onto bnet immediately if you close the listchecker program. It works for me at least. So after you’re done with your LC game, close the LC program, and relog to bnet, it should work.
im having a problem i put in my cdkey and everything i did it all right but when i type in /hostbnetpublic dota apem usa/ca pro then i go look a the pick up list and it says invalid configuration in INI file and at the cd key part it has a lot of weird letters and stuff what do i do plz help
my email is jumbojake12@yahoo.ca plz send me something to help
Once you put the information into the INI file, listchecker encypts the CD KEYs and the bnet password. So later, when you reopen the INI file, it will not look like it did previously. So my suggestion is to start with a fresh INI file and re-input all the information again. Good luck
And guys, if LC doesn’t work, give DotA Client a try. It’s much easier to install and latency is just as good or even better than LC.
Error : couldnt open winpcap device - shit!
i reinstall my windows! (now it WinXP x64 proffesional)
still problem here(((
SuperCoww.
I figured hwo to make banlist work with listchecker.
if you read the commands on http://bonta.kun.free.fr/listchecker/
you will se that there is a command /openbnet.
write it in, and after you type in /bnetcmd /
If you want Blist to work with Listchecker type this.
1. /openbnet
2. /bnetcmd /fromall
I also made another discover.
A friend of mine always disconnects from wc3 and drops from the game
but he doesent know why it happens. I dont know if this problem is usual.
But anyway. When i hosted with LC my friend doesent drop from Bnet anymore,
so i start to wonder if this program may help people to not get disconnected without
any reason. =)
Thx for me
Thanks for the added information groensak!
Hey everytime i try to use LC, it attempts to connect me to europe.battle.net and i play on US east how can i change it?
What do I have to do to allow people to join? Listchecker looks like its working and says the game has been created but no one joins. I can’t even host normally on BNet. So what do I have to do to host games?
Kabraxis:
See Part 3 of this tutorial. Basically, change europe.battle.net to useast.battle.net
On your INI config file there is a field for:
bnetnetwork: this is the name of the network that you play on, i.e. uswest.battle.net, useast.battle.net, europe.battle.net, or asia.battle.net.
Change accordingly.
Frogslayer,
you need to forward your port on your router to get this to work. I’m sure you can find a guide somewhere on the net. Or maybe someone can point him in the right direction?

ok…i juss used it today works fine but how do i log onto bnet and be able to go to channel room while LC running…when i log in it say LC using my account
Jc,
Sorry, you have to turn off listchecker if you want to sign on regularly to bnet.
Ok got it 2 connect, now my problem is the game wont fill all the way up, um it wil fill to 9 but thats it, it wont fillthe last slot any suggestions?
I have the Failed to Hash War3 CD error, what do i do?
Julian,
I would suggest making sure that you entered in your cd keys correctly. I think that error comes up when you mistype your cd keys. Give that a try please.
This is a great tutorial and ive looked through the entire page trying to find someone with a problem related to mine. Everything works just fine except if i try to ping refresh or change the gamename with players in the game it auto boots them all and starts from scratch it would seem. THis is very annoying i cant ping anyone and sometimes i like to change the game name to attract more players but it doesnt seem to be working for me no matter what i try ive reinstalled numerous times ive tried changing my host ports ive tried EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF but cant get this to work no matter what i do im hoping someone has encountered this problem and knows a way to fix it.
Michael,
this is a very serious problem that I have never encountered. I will email you personally to try to fix this. if we find a solution, we will post it here.
Hey. I don’t know but in the lan alot I get alot of complaints of lag… However I am never downloading anything when i play dota and i tab out to see that my comp usage is still low because i have 4 gigs of ram… So I don’t think its me… If someone in the game lags would it affect everyone or just that person?
Well if some1 have error: unable to find device winpcap or something like that:
1. check if u have admin rights
2. set on properties run as admin
3. if u r admin and still got that error, try to open wincpap manually. for example open wc3 banlist and then lc.
hf
@Christopher check ur i-net usage and try to install cfossped that should help a bit
the can’t load wincap device error most of u people are encountering is because you are using a broadband connection with a usename and pass to connect through the internet
this kind of connection creates a virtual connection through the pc’s wan miniport, just as in john’s case
in his case disabling the second conection, the network card worked because he actually connected wireless to the int, we connect using the fiber optics cable, thus if we disable the network card the virtual connection also stops
you could try disabling your netw card and launch listchecker, you will see there is no more error, to see that I am right, but this doesn’t solve the problem
i’ve tried everything to get listchecker to use the virtual connection but the error still occurs, but maybe now that you know what’s causing it you guys might be able to think of something I didn’t
Ok, on my LC it wont auto-kick the lictchecker thing, but when my friend hosts it does, any suggestions? It wont fill the game up to a 5v5 it only does 5v4 then it’ll say game full.
everytime i save cdkey and account settings, when i restart it becomes exactly like this:
bnetkey1=e:70919E6F6965741F0D002AC604645417736C6773EE10F673431E
bnetkey2=e:168BFA1A6D6E007257A28E3190CF42FAD987E2E5791E56C6A143
bnetacc=Nf.aLeoX
bnetpass=e:25B5CF364F5C2A776B389AE444050A
I really don’t get it.
/pingclients – this copies the ping information for all current players onto the clipboard. Press control-X to paste the information onto the chat line.
you might want to change “control-X” to control V because V works X doesn’t
it was a bit confusing the first time so a change would be helpful
aLeoX,
Listchecker is simply encrypting the sensitive information so that other people won’t be able to see what your cdkeys and password for Bnet. So in summary, that is what is supposed to happen!
6feetunder:
thanks for pointing that out. I changed it accordingly
Yes,but…listchecker says that account informations are wrong…
How do i get Banlist to work with LC. I type /checkall and nothing happens

Either you entered in the information wrong into the INI file, or you might have a foreign version of Warcraft III. I don’t know the exact details, but I think some other people have been having issues like this.

Another way to use LC to host is to send an invitation to them via /sendlan :
taken from http://bonta.kun.free.fr/listchecker/
/sendlan : will show the game you host to the lan screen of the destination ip
(destination will need to have his port 6112 open and will need to go to the lan screen before host uses this command),
useful if the other guy cant connect to battle.net, and it doesnt need him to run this app on his computer at all
hey i did everything in this guide and when i opened listcheck it said encrypting cd keys and it was encrypted then it said im missing file NPP. Tools or something like that, i’ve done this tutorial many times and i still get the same thing, im using vista btw
hey i fixed that problem by downloading the file seperately, but i have another problem. when i try to run list checker, it says error : cannot open winpcap device, i’ve uninstalled winpcap and installed it again and it still gives me the same error, and yes i am running list checker as admin
hi guys

So I heard about a new sweet program called Lc and that its even better than GGc Hosting so I wanted to check it out. I have done everything like the guide but it doesnt work-.-
So heres my problem:
Ive tryed going into Lan and hosted there the pkp.Listchecker show up after this I write following: /hostbnetpublic Dota -xx xxxx and it sais
” couldnt find C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\war3.exe ”
My pass, cd-key and bnet account is all right and I can host with banlist otherwise so any ideas?
btw I have the same problem as kirbyrules had (almost at the beggining) and he didnt get it too work it seems
hey, i got all the way to step 5, but when u said launch listchecker.exe file, what do you mean. i open it up and it goes through the 3 dialog boxes again til i gets to the one where it tells you to enter a command.. but for some reason.. the dialog box goes away in a matter of seconds always.. is that my problem, because when i go to local area network to host a game my listchecker never shows up?.. hopefully you can help me out?!
Michael:
There have always been issues with vista, and I’m not sure why it works for some, and not for others. And what do you mean when you say you “downloaded the files separately?” I think this could be helpful to other people who are trying to install listchecker.
KaiN:
You might have a foreign version of warcraft III, and listchecker is not compatible with it, from what I have experienced.
Caio:
I’ve noticed that LC games take longer to fill rather than regularly hosted games. I just spam the /refreshbnet command every 5 seconds. This seems to help a little bit
Vanilla Sky:
Are you putting the warcraft 3 directory correctly in the INI file? You want to put the directory of where war3.exe is located. Usually, it will be in “c:\program files\warcraft III” Thats the only thing I can think of.
Josh:
The three dialog boxes should only happen the very first time you try to launch pickup.listchecker.exe. I get the feeling that you did not configure the INI file correctly. So perhaps you should try to reconfigure the INI file. Erase all the files, and re download them.
I deleted and reinstalled and did as u said and it works! Seemed like there was some kind of bug in the INI file.
thx guys <3 to josh and Quan Quach keep on the good work
Van1LLa
i did everything u said and when i type /hostbnetpublic [gn] all it says is “Connecting to east.battle.net on port 6112″ w/o the quotes.
pimp8426
Try changing your .ini file to say useast.battle.net and not east.battle.net
Whenever i try to use listchecker it says: Done, wc3 port set to 6113(always 1 higher than the port in-game), listchecker port is 6112, checking again …
I have installed lc succesfully and it runs fine untill i atempt to create a game on bnet. A popup containg the following shows up:

once you designate the port number in the INI file, listhecker will use that port to host games. if that port is the one that you normally use to host battle.net games, then that value will be changed to 1 + the value of the old port.

Bially:
I think you’re the first to report this problem. I really have no idea how to resolve this.
Billy:
Hey billy, you may have to port forward your router to include port 6113, which is what the port is set too once you start using LC, which takes over port 6112. Check to see what port is being using by warcraft 3 and configure your router accordingly. Give that a try and tell me how it works out.
Manolis:
The way I understand it, cracked versions or foriegn versions of warcraft III do not work with LC. You need a legit copy of warcraft III.
thanks for the prompt reply quan but i have my router set to port forward from 6112 to 6119 to my computer and my warcraft port is at 6113 and my LC is at 6112. I think one crucial piece of information i forgot to give you was that when i click on battlenet it gives my a hard drive error when my hard drive is clearly not full (this happened as soon as i got LC to work properly).
Billy
nvm i got it to work, i forgot to let warcraft run at admin XD
another question, how come when i type /f l i only see half my friends? like 12/25?
I extracted the files to a new place. But when i try to run it it says I should change my port.. Unfortunally my computre is norwegian made AND I have no idea on computers, just now their fun, so I have no idea what to do. Can anyone of you take contact on my email and please see if you can help me by either msn ( prefered ) or e-mail ( 2nd choice ). My email is: okoilama@hotmail.com. Thank you.
oh fuck nvm. I got it now.
If you use Windows Vista, you must perform these extra steps to run listchecker:
Right click at pickup.listchecker.exe and choose Properties
Click the Compatibility tab.
Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as an administrator.
Click Ok

“Listchecker works with Hamachi as well. If you are on a Hamachi network and host a public game on Battle.net using the /hostbnetpublic command, anyone on the Hamachi network can join your game. Thus, if you have other friends who don’t have a cd key, you can host a game using Listchecker and then have your friends (who don’t have CD keys) join via Hamachi!”

when i type in the commands /pingclients and /refreshbnet, nothing happens. any idea why?
Can you have a wireless connection to host?
I got the same problem as lennerd, nothing happens for /pingclients
Need help :/
Hi my problem is that nothing happens when i opened the game on local network
and want to open a public or normal bnet game i write /hostbnetpublic dota -ar!!!
and theres only connecting to europe.battle.net on port:6112
In the .ini file, I select hostport to be 6115 but every time LC hosts a game, the log says:
Connecting to USeast.battle.net on port 6112
Will LC always use port 6112 no matter what you tell it or is there a way to fix this?
I was just wondering about a thing:
Whenever I host a game with LS, it seems like i get “less” players in the game as in I would host it directly in BN. I usually get like 3-4 players but never more! Is this just circumstantial or is anyone else having the same “problem”?
Another thing: once i’ve created a game, and i wish to re-create. can i just type:
/hostbnetpublic “gamename” or do i have to quit the game from the LAN, and re-create it again?
thanks in advance.
I have noticed myself that LC games take longer to fill than Bnet games. Not sure what the reason for this is.
Not sure if LC always uses port 6112 as the default port, but if theres an option to specify the port, then I would think that its customizable.
And yes, if you create a game, and wish to change the game name, you don’t need to create a new lan game and retype in the /hostbnetpublic command.
You can just do /hostbnetpublic gamename and a new game will be created with the new game name. Anyone inside the game already wil be unaffected.
Ok, But its not letting me do it, And i COULDNT host before it, And i still cant, So what should i do?
im running on windows vista and when i open the listchecker application a box pops out saying “NPPTools.dll is not found, re-installing the application may fix the problem”. I have reextracted the files again and again and it still gets the same problem what can i do to fix this?
hey dudes….i did anything right with listchecker but it doesn’t join my privat game so what to do?
Wow guys, amazing site… You’ve really done a good job keepin it up! And still this is an awesome tutorial! I give it out to people who want to know how to get LC workin. ;p

I have the same prob like crow[king] … failed to hash war3 key.. im 100% sure i put the right cd keys… tried in every way.. and still.
hey … my lc never joins the game …. in fact he is like “dead” no command works ….
i do this .. i enter wc3 .. conect bnet … type /hostbnetpublic Dota -rd LC!!! in the chat me nu (but nothing happens ) , i try and i create a game … with the name Dota -rd LC!!! … and after in the hosted game chat … i put /hostbnetpublic Dota -rd LC!!! .. then the lc “start” it only shows me who is in … he does not send’s any msg to players who joins … and dont tell me that succesfully created the game … am i doing right or what ?
You need to host the games via LAN, not on bnet. Try it
@alin
Yeah that’s the problem. once you start wc3, start a new game on LAN.
After that, type in /hostbnetpublic “gamename” and everything should work out fine.
as mentioned before i’m having trouble filling the games… any ideas?
Now i got it
but noone joins
dunno why
Thank you so much for writing and posting this. It was fantastic. I appreciate your help.
how does lc work? does it use my connection? i have a 1k connection, does that mean i cant host with lc coz players will lag?
have a pb… can some1 help plz?
When i want to create a game with this command : /hostbnetpublic dota -arem
in local, i have an error msg => parameter incorect. What can i do plz?
Dude look this i can only open my listchecker when the port is 6113 and i can only host when the port is 6112…Any help?
Hi, thx for the quide man.
but i have problems asswell..
Everything worked for me before but now nothing works! and now i have changed so many settings i barly dont know what im doing anymore.
I just have a question, should my port in my router be 6112, my port in wc3 be 6112 and my port in listchecker be 6112? Becouse none of this works.. after stating listchecker he tells me i cant have the same port in listchecker as in wc3 so he changes my wc3 port to 6113.
Listchecker drives me crazy! :S
i fiquerd it out!
My port in my router is 6112 aswell as in listchecker. And my port in wc3 are 6113.
I quess best why getting it work when trying and failed for a while is to delate and re-instaled everything.
so has anyone found a way to fix the problems with less players joining your game? it gets really annoying when it takes 10-15 minuets to fill up an lc game. you figure more people wanan join a less laggy game.
hey guyz …. it works …. thx alot
i have a question …. if someone wisper to me …. and if i wanna wisper him back … what’s the command to wisper ? thx
Hey it worked for me, but when i create a game noone joins it says “game made succesfully” but like noone joins at all
//Respones to alin
Its accutly the same as in BattleNet
/w “name” “text message”
Etc,
/w Dr.blue Wanna play some DotA?
Even though it seems like all in join game can see what you wisp they cant..
Occasionally when playing LC hosted games (maybe 10% of the time), I have problems which cause me the lag out of games. There is no latency while playing the game, but every five minutes or so, there will be a period of ~30 seconds of lag where I’m able to speak normally to SOME people in the game, but the host is waiting for me, and I often end up dropping. Is this a known issue?
I have downloaded and installed LC and it works very well when I host with it. Ty for the good guide on how to set it up.
I have a problem when I JOIN LC games though. Whenever I join a game that is hosted with LC I constantly have a ping of ~300ms throughout the whole game. Wich is equivalent to approximately 1-2 sec delay on every action I tell my hero to do constantly throughout the entire game.
Has anyone else experienced this problem when joining LC games or does anyone have an idea what could be the cause of this?
I play SIG at Dotaleague.com and sometimes I don’t get to host but playing a whole game with 1-2 sec delay is a sure way to feed like hell. I can’t play any SIG’s before I get this problem sorted out. It’s very annoying.
I have 2 mbit download and 1 mbit upload. ( 1724 kbit/s download / 710 kbit/s according to internet speed test). So I don’t think it’s my connection. I have no problems in nonLC games or when I host with LC myself.
What:
I hear that some people suffer from this problem, but I am not sure what the cause is. Sorry.
DHP,
This has never happened to me. I host LC games, and also join LC games. My lag never gets that bad. I’m not sure what the problem could be . . . sorry!
Quan
Ok, so, I host this on LAC and it works and all…
But whenever my friend tries to put it in the search, it doesn’t appear and it doesn’t show that I logged onto b.net..
And I can’t host without this unless I fix the Thing..
Am I able to host on b.net directly with this thing? You never made this clear.
It’s working now.
Wait, friend still can’t find it, and not as many people come when I host on LAC.
Hey I have read through this and found no working solution.. I get this come up when I try create a game.

I dont host or use LC, but I play in tda games and they use LC. Whenever I play in a game that is using LC I have no delay but the game just runs very slow such as a glitchy, laggy gameplay that gets worse as more action happens. It makes the game unplayable most of the time. Anyone know why? Thanks.
Hey, Im running on Vista Business.
For PART 5B.
If you use Windows Vista, you must perform these extra steps to run listchecker:
1. Right click at pickup.listchecker.exe and choose Properties
2. Click the Compatibility tab.
3. Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as an administrator.
4. Click Ok
My Privilege Level is “BLACKEN” I CANT CLICK ON IT…anyone know why ?

Hi
i’ve installed listchecker and i’ve done all the things that are said in the tutorial but when i try to open the .exe file it says “Couldn’t read wc3 port value in registry, make sure warcraft is properly installed and try again”. i have reinstalled my warcraft but the same thing comes up.
btw i use vista and i have changed the campatibility and i’m running the program as adminstratore.
1 more thing i have checked my registry and in the gameplay section there is netgameport REG-DWORD 0×000017e0 (6112)
but i still get the same error
plz help me thx
btw my email is yashi_pooyi@yahoo.ca
I’ve experienced slow joining rates as well. Not sure why this happens. I just try spamming /refreshbnet every 4-5 seconds or so. Luckily, I use banlist so I just set up a macro that does the spamming for me.
everything is right so far, pkp checker joins my lan games, im a vista user but when i put the command /hostbnetpublic dota bla bla bla it gives me this

Failed to hash WAR3 key
Hi, thx for the great guide.
My friends and others cant join my LC games. They finds it but are unable to join.
I have allways been able to host without listchecker. I think it worked for me once but after that game no one have been able to join. I have been trying to fix this problem for probobly a week but still can’t understand how to fix it.
I will confece i am not a pro at opening ports (port forwarding) but i have opened port to my listchecker port (6112) and to wc3 port (6113). I am also aware of keeping my firewall off when hosting.. feels like i thoght of averything, but STILL they cant join.
Realy enoys me that it worked once but after that nothing.
I have also reinstalled and went though the guide over and over..
Can we fix it?
Thanks
hello, i have a problem and it goes like this :
i create a game, i type /hostbnetpublic dota -ap

why i failed to create ????

I get the message:

Then it just freezes and does nothing else. The bot is in the game and I’m really sure everything is entered in correctly.
Hey, listchecker doesn’t work :(. Always says Error: Couldn’t open Winpcap device. I removed banlist, Winpcap. Downloaded 4.02 and installed it, didnt work so removed it.
Downloaded 4.02 Beta2 or so and installed and it didnt worked. Restarted my computer fe times, didnt work. I have Win Vista Ultimate 32BIt. Help please
Hey, I followed the tutorial and everything works great- The only problem I have is when I type, /pingclients, it never shows me everyone else’s latency… which is the real reason why I bothered getting this program to begin with….. If anyone knows how to get the ping to actually show please feel free to email me at ericbiev@gmail.com -
Thank you for any help in advance-
After you ping the clients, you need to press “control + v” to paste the data
yeah, like a moron i just realized this- thanks for the extremely quick response-
curious, will hosting another third party app. auto refresher be necessary or is the, “built-in” auto refresher good enough?
i find spamming /refreshbnet every 5 seconds to be the most effective.
otherwise, it will refresh automatically every 15 seconds or so.
i use banlist to make a macro to make this easier to spam
Hello, i’m running on Windows XP Professional

Read alot of comment and I got the problem that it does work but there is no one joining the game.
As you said before, change to the port WAR3 is using in the .ini-file. But as you change the listchecker get a error and want to change the port of war3? Part of plans?

Update : Found on a old Dota League blog that if u remove to E= in the ini file beside the key1, key2 it fixes the above problem, however when i attempt to host a game now it says :
Invalid configuration in INI file
bnetnetwork = useast.battle.net
bnetkey1 =
bnetkey2 =
benetacc=mikeb
bnetpass =
war3dir = C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS, im not covering up anything, the other 3 spaces are just blank, so i thought maybe they were errors, again keys are right and my password is right. Then went to the worded areas, well im on useast confirmed, same path and thats my account name. Im stuck here, please help
problem fixed, i looked at the ini file and it was like
Bnetkey1:
Bnetkey2:
bnetpass:
so i changed the : to = on them and worked fine.
got it running hosting my own games thanx everyone

Hey,
That was rly helpful thx a lot mate..although i didnt shut down the net cards it worked gr8…Ty again.take care
is there a forum or community somewhere for listchecker, there are too many bugs and issues that keep getting lost in these comments, we need ongoing discussion!
SOrry, there is no forum that I know of. And yes, there are lots of issues with LC, but it’s worth the hassle!
[quote]Windows Vista and wireless adaptors also seem to cause trouble, resulting in Winpcap from functioning properly. Any new information on this issue will be posted here in the future.[/quote]
Meh. I hate Vista..
few problems occured while hosting lc.
1) /pingclients did not work. I don’t know why, i followed the tutorial
2) lc refresh is very slow. While hosting bnet dota games. i usually get a full game less than 7 seconds.
- i don’t know if its refresh but it takes me forever to get a full game.
Also i have vista, lc runs fine but im not getting the best results like quanquach
/pingclients puts the data onto your clipboard, after you do that command, you have to press “control + v”
i usually try to spam /refreshbnet every 5 seconds for better join rate
Hi, i’m having a hard time getting the tdabot to join my games. when i do “/w tdabot !start rd21lc” i get the msg. “Tdabot is unable to join you games”

since i have LC i cant invite friends for laddergaming anymore.. is this possible to be fixed? another problem is that i cant allowed observers for laddermaps for example, is there any command to fix it?
I use Vista, and have User Account Control turned off. I run listchecker just fine without compatibility mode.
To impi87: Your User Account Control may be turned off (Control Panel -> Users) When that’s turned off, all programs are automatically run with administrator privilege level and the “Run as Administrator” button will be blocked.
ah ok thx. but lc is still not working.
always the same: winpcap
i nearly tried everything
can any1 answer me? plzzz

Program can not start becuase “WPACAP.DLL” dont exsist. The problem can to let it install the program over.
I use VISTA
Help PLEASE
Hello,
I can normally host a game on BNET. But on LC I cannot. I did what you guys told me to do with putting the Port the same as the gameplay one. But when i start LC it tells me the thing to change it, and I put yes. Am I doing something wrong?
NM I fixed it XD
I run at Vista, and I don’t know if it’s still a problem for people, but I too had the “cannot open winpcap device” problem, wich after some random clicking turned into “Can’t find file NPP.Tools.dll”. I deleted the winpcap I had (4.02) and installed an the older stable version 4.1beta, and it started to work perfectly. Don’t know if it is to any help, but I figured it won’t hurt either. Good luck and thanks for the great tutorial.
ehh it doesnt work for me…. the listchecker window was find but in game the checker didnt join my game even i type right command
When I start my Listchecker it say that I can’t have the same port on listchecker and in Wc3, so it change my port in Wc3 to 6113, dunno if its wrong but where shall I write “/hostbnetpublic gamename” ..? tried everywhere, but it still doesnt create any game.
Maybe im a dumbass but dont get it
Would be great with some help.
Kind Regards
i hosted a lot of games with xp, but now i have vista and it dont work because there is the error message “couldnt open winpcamp device”.
1. i clicked on “run as a system aministrator”
2. i tried winpcamp versions: 4.0.1 / 4.0.2 / 4.1beta
3. i turned the pkp files into my wc3 file
4. i tried to run winpcamp manually
… but nothing worked
HELP ME PLZ, i am getting

THX forwards
why the fuck does the tutorial get covered by the comments after about 20 seconds
josh,
that doesn’t happen when i load up the page
not wireless,
installed pickup,
have pcap,
could always host games,
forwarded ports 6112-6114, Lc on port 6112, War3 on port 6113,
Pickup list joins LAN game, typed /hostbnet DOTA blahblahblah,
about 5% of the time 1-2 people join and then leave, on USwest.
any ideas?
I have a problem! When i host a game offline with lc it sas everthing ok,but when i want to connect to bnet it sas that is used by som1 else and cant conect to my hosted game !why???
I followed the instructions exactly as they said, and it worked the first time. I minimised warcraft, then when I went to close this browser window, my comp crashed. Restarted, tryed again, LC won’t work. In the config file I redid and checked all the inputs, then when I go to start up LC, it says “invalid, not 26 characters long” and when I go back to the config my 1st key and bnet password have been changed to big long strings of characters. Any ideas as to wtf is happening?
i tried to host a lan game and when i joined the lobby there was two pkp.listcheckers in it and when i typed /hostbnetpublic dota -ap it said C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\war3.exe
it said cannot find C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\war3.exe*
it also says
Invalid configuration in INI file
bnetnetwork = europe.battle.net
bnetkey1 =
bnetkey2 =
benetacc=
bnetpass =
war3dir =/
Question…
Anyway we can use the normal bnet commands when hosting with LC?
such as WHISPER and F LIST
I seem to be having an issue with Listchecker. Never seen it before. Basically I’ve done all I need to get started. I’ve used Listchecker many a times before this had happened. I just recently removed it from my computer cause I was using DC. Now that the DC server decided to become out of service, I wanted to revert back to Listchecker. Now what happens is, I go into LAN in WC3, and get to where I need to type /hostbnetpublic, but pkp.listchecker does not join my game at all. I look at the txt file again, I don’t notice anything obvious at all that could be wrong. Basically, its just happed and I need some help.
Nice tutorial.
I have another question, though…
I can host with listchecker but for some reason my games get full EXTREMELY slow. Pings seem to be alright, my gamenames don’t differ too much form usual names, and so on.
When i join lc games, they are full a LOT faster. No idea why.
It seems that auto refresh only works in a few cases, because whenever someone joins, more players join, too. After that there’s no1 joining for minutes, sometimes.
I pretty much can hope to have a full game in less than 40seconds or rehost, because it won’t even be full in 10 minutes…
Thanks in advance for any help.
I had the same problem as alot of people here forever, which was the pkp.listchecker didnt join my LAN games. I tried all of the solutions people mentioned and they didn’t work. Ultimately, it was because the program did not support my PCI network card. I was using a KillerNIC network card. Banlist worked just fine. I had all of the motherboard NICs disabled in bios. I even tried ENABLING them, installing the drivers, disabling them in windows… didnt matter. It just wouldnt use that card. If I removed the card and used the motherboard LAN card instead, everything worked just fine. I dont know if it that network card in particular, or if it is just funny with any add-in NIC when your motherboard already has a NIC built in.
Wow! Nice. Cause I am using the Killer NIC. LOL! What a co-incedence.
it says Failed to hash WAR3 key, anybody knows a solution?
In order to fix the hash problem PKP must re-encrypt its CD keys because it will NOT accept them as unencrypted so you must “Reinstall” PKP by doing the following Delete all PKP items except the ZIP then go download this free (An very very very effective) Registery cleaning tool Btw this is truly free it also does the handy job of cleaning up browser files that slow your computer down over time the Registery is what you need cleaned though. It will trick PKP into doing the hashing again. http://www.ccleaner.com now reenter all the information in the ini and make sure it’s perfect! then retry hosting. This solved my hash error and hopefully yours too. Also you can use any registery cleaner to do the cleaning I just like CCleaner because it’s free and works great.
Kurt,
Thank you much for the super helpful tip~!

plz if anyone can help me fix this post the answer cause its killing me not to be able to host.
I’ve got a problem, everything works as it should exept the commands /hostbnetpublic and /hostbnet which don’t work so i cant creat bnet games…
anyone know what to do?
i just dled lc today, and i have a problem. everything goes smoothly, i /hostbnetpublic and the game gets created. lc says something like GAME CREATED SUCCESSFULLY and so on….. but the problem is that it seems like only 1 person can join my game. what happens is, someone joins my game and takes the spot of listchecker, lc then leaves my game. and thats the end of it. no one else can join. and when that person finally leaves, lc rejoins my game, and someone new joins, and lc leaves.. and the cycle continues. what is the problem here?
Do you know why people leave when you say it refreshes automatically?
Its because its a heaping pile of BS.
Every dang game I join with LC the host is all cocky with his it refreshes automatically, and then NO ONE JOINS. And they just keep going on and on about how it refreshes automatically or they just refreshed it or it must be a slow night, but if you join any other non LC game, oh look! People! They’re joining! Its not a slow night after all! In fact, its just that LC sucks!
I’ve got vista, and so when I went to rick-click on pickup.listchecker.exe>properties>Compatabilities, the priviledge level box that I have to check is gray and impossible to do so.
when i host a game with LC it takes so long before people joins often many minutes, but when i host a regular dota game on bnet it gets filled within 30 sec. What is the problem??
hi i have instaled LC and wc3Banlist and successiful created a game, but no one can join, and should pkp.listcheker go away after game is created??Can u pls help me?
hi, ive got a problemm
i can host with lc, all works. tells me game hosted with sucsess, BUT nobody can join!
dont know why, they see in firends list that i am in this game but they cant join.
i got vista and wlan.. but my friend either and he can host.
and i can host normal without lc and they can join, whats the problem?
please answer FAST,
ty

Hi, If you get the message “NPPTools.dll is not found, re-installing the application may fix the problem” you have to download NPPTools and put it in your ListChecker folder!
Download it at http://www.driverskit.net/.
i have everything done correctly and i have my list checker on, then when i go to LAN and host a game list checker doesn’t show up. then i tried to disable my 1394 internet connection and it won’t let me any ideas of what to do….
Uh well as many other people are having trouble with this problem,
“Failed to hash WAR3 Key”
I dont understand why i am getting this error because I’ve hosted LC fine for like 2 months. Then i stopped wc3 for a while, then there was that patch where it lets u run wc3 without a cd. Then later i try to host LC and i get that error? Any ideas?
ok… when i host a game on lc and type /hostbnetpublic *gamename*
list checker says that i have a invalid configuration of my ini file. whereas its perfectly fine… help?
WTF why does it say your cd keys and password has been encrypted in the ini
omg wth…..
wait nvm… i did everything right.. and listchecker doesnt pop up in lan and i can host on wc3.
when i host a game with LC nobody join. what shall i do?
hey, that guide looks nice :D, i just got one smal problem, wher can i get it for free ?=) u know, list cheker, and banlist ?:S please tell me where i can download it. thanks
This guide worked really well for setting up listchecker for me. I was able to host perfectly for a week or two, and then I started getting the “error ciuldnt open winpcap device”. I tried to run as administrator which supposedly works for windows vista. My friend also has list checker but he runs vista and this is how he fixed the same error. When I run as adminsitrator it tells me that “couldn’t read wc3 port value in registry, make sure warcraft is properly installed and try again” Do I need to install warcraft to the adminsitrator account or something?
I have a problem with working the List Checker. I have the screen up “puckup.listchecker” and the listchecker joins my game just fine, but when I tell it to /hostbnetpublic it says code=2 after the logonproof when it is checking my password. I have changed my password but it still did not work, nor do I have any characters that the checker would not recognize. Help would be much appriciated.

i’m not really interessted in the battle net joining, but more the /sendlan option so others can join your lan game while not on your lan.
Everything works, i can create games in Lan then change them to Bnet games. BUT NO ONE CAN JOIN MY GAMES! How do i change this! i already tried changing port 6112 to port 6111! my WC3 port is 1223. can someone tell me how to fix this?
this guide is a bullshit..
i give it -1 out of 10..

your problem is probably the / behind WarcraftIII
war3dir=C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\
delete the \ and try again.
Hey folks.
I have a window Vista Home Edition. I realized some of yall cannot host when you are using a wireless router. I had the same problem. I actually found the answer to that and these are the steps i took. I cant host regularly so I had to use Port Forwarding. If you cannot host regularly and try to use port forwarding, you must know that ALL possible static IP has to be in the port forwarding.
Note your static IP WILL change everytime you connect to the internet via wireless. On the bottom right corner of ur destop in your Notification Area, find the wireless icon. Right click on it once and select “Network and Sharing Center”. A new window should pop up. Click on “View Status” and another new window should pop up. Click on “Detail” and you should see a bunch of lines and numbers. Where it saids “IPv4 IP Address” that is your Static IP address number.
For example mine is 10.0.0.1
What i did was i disconnect and reconnect a few times to see the changes in the Address. For me, I found my address was ranged from 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.9 which was nice. So i open up my router(see the instruction above to find out how to get to Port Fowarding) and put in all the possible numbers in this case only 9. I put 10.0.0.1 to Port 6111 and 10.0.0.2 to 6112 and so on.
Now heres the painful part. Everything is set up for you to host (assuming you did all the steps that Quan has showed). But before you open up Listchecker, first open up the Network and Sharing Center and find the IP again. Remember the ip number that you have used for your port forwarding with its Port number on Listchecker, like 10.0.0.5 to port 6115.
[pickup]
bnetnetwork=useast.battle.net

bnetacc=WhiteLotus
bnetpass=e:6EC39DCLAHE08730E4D8
war3dir=C:\Program Files\Warcraft III
hostport=6115 <—- this is what you change everytime you connect to the internet.
Now open up Warcraft and for the port under setting I put it as 6110 because it’s a port number I didn’t use in my Port forwarding. You should be able to host using Lan now. You do not need to change the port number in Listchecker everytime you host but you NEED to look and change it everytime you connect to the internet.
White Lotus,
Thanks for the helpful comment!

Hey!
I got this really odd problem. I have no problem setting up a game and people join it. The thing is, some time after I’ve created, people don’t seem to be able to join anymore. They get error messages in the Custom Game list, and the flow of players in to the game basically stops. One person whispered me and was all agitated because he said he’d waited like 5 minutes after clicking my game to finally join it. This is a really strange problem, because it has been working fine earlier. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but prior to listchecker starting to act up, I had to reconfigure my portforwarding since my computer changed it’s IP. I also tried to play TFT without the CD, but that couldn’t possibly have anything to do with it, right? Anyways, I’m happy for any help you guys can provide, since it’s really annoying me having to play crappy games w/o listchecker.
Peace
no Quan i thank YOU for this great tutorial. I always wanted to host and i used to be able to but not anymore. thanx to ur guide you made me one happy man!
HI, i followed your guide and everything seems to work, i even get message that my game is made and stuff, but no1 is joining at all…I don’t know what seems to be the problem. I thought it might be something to do with opening portals but i checked it many time and everything seems to be k there. Any more suggestions???
Yea I log on, i make a private dota game on warcraft. I type into the “send command” box: “/hostbnet c2yk” then “/pingclients” nothing happends when i paste it onto my warcraft chatbox.
I do the same, but in the warcraft chatbox, but with the same crap. i still get this problem while hosting public games.

Hey guys.. i cant normally host on bnet.. how do u?
I do everything you said, bring up list checker and then wc3 and go to lan, type in /hostbnetpublic whatever then everything comes up but then it says failed to create?
broza,
you have to be more specific please. try again and if it fails go to the listchecker and there should be a smaller box that pop up. In that box copy its content and paste it here so we know why it failed.
Brother-Death,
try changing your port number back to 6112 if you want to host regularly. See if that helps
theonedude,
read the above section about Port Forwarding.
Yo dude. Do you still play Dota? We should scrim sometime.

WhiteLotus thanks for that nice tip but I just have one question, I get everything about that I need to change the port but how do you know what to change it to by looking at your static IP? Is there a certain number that it corresponds with?

I would really appriciate help, thanks.
Ok totally disregard that question, I got that working thanks! But now it says “game greated successfully” and now I dont know what to do, because the listchecker is still in my game and nobody joins. Help thanks

plz respond for number 492 and 493
For the people running Listchecker (this applies to WC3Banlist as well), this is very important in order for the NIC, DirectX-API hook, and WinPCap to run correctly:
Even if you are logged into your administrator account, you must right click your executable or the corresponding shortcut and select Run as Administrator in order for the application to function correctly. If you do not, Listchecker will give you an error for WinPCap and WC3Banlist will give you an error for DirectX-API hook and you will be unable to detect any NIC.
do we have to be in local network thingy?

i dont know the slightest thing about this program but i know that on bnet u gotta have ur ports forwarded on ur modem, maybe u still gotta do that?
good job on the tutorial. really easy to follow. install LC on my 1st attempt and it worked!!!!!
for the ppl who can’t get players to join your game make sure you create a static ip and then port foward your ip address. Also, make sure your firewall is allowing port 6112, 6113, 6114, 6115, 6116, 6117, 6118, & 6119. Furthermore, windows firewall DCH UCH (something like that) is allowing 6112 - 6119.

Hey,
I cant seem to get people to join my game. I use WLAN but I have disabled all other cards as people in thjis forum said. pkp. joins and everything seems to be fine except that noone join the game. I’ve tried with various game names so I know it should have nothing to do with people just not wanting to join the game. Maybe it is not displayed on the list at all? What can I do?

Hey, I’ve been using LC for a few weeks now, and it’s been working great for me. Recently I got a new ISP, but LC kept on working for me for about a week. Without anything changing, it stopped working. I tried deleting all files and redownloading them all (including reinstalling WinCap) and I got the three “Encripting keys/password” messages, and the one about the ports. So without any error messages it comes up with the standard grey box with the list/players caption and the send command box. The problem is when I go into create game in local area network pkp.listchecker no longer joins my game.
Any idea what could be wrong? E-mail me @ Sodman74@gmail.com
Sodman - any chance that your new ISP have you install a new network card or wireless card? You have to disable any network cards that are installed but not in use or else LC can’t figure out which one to use and won’t do anything.
FYI:
Peerguardian2 has the chance of blocking LC. I found this out the hard way. make sure that custom lists are not blocking LC.
gg,
Ch00
Response to me: I enabled one of the network cards for about 10 mins when I was thinking of having both connections hooked up, but then decided to just stay with the one (on the Original Network card) and disabled the second one again. I never opened Wc3 / L.C. when I had the 2nd one open, which is fairly weird. Also if it helps, I’m on vista. Another side note: when it stopped working, I was in the middle of a game, and everybody just disconnected, and havn’t been able to get it working since. For the few games before the total halt though, I’d make the LAN game, and pkp.listchecker would join and instantly leave again, and if I went to desktop, the L.C. program had ended totally. Dunno if that helps or not…

Hello.
I’m from Russia.
Listchecker works fine with me(foreign players can join my public game), but there is small problem - russian people CAN join only by typing gamename(they don’t see game in list).
I think this probably happens because listchecker by default sets country as France.
Here’s textblock from http://bonta.kun.free.fr/listchecker/
***
“countryshort= set this to the country you are from, default is “FRA”, only change if you know what you’re doing
country= set this to the country you are from, default is “France”, only change if you know what you’re doing”
***
Maybe if change it to Russia, russian people can join throught gamelist aswell?
But I don’t know how exatctly need input country(Russia/Rus/Ru/Russian Federation?).
Can you tell me if I change it, will this works?
This is just mine opinion, and it may not be so.
If somebody know real solution, please writeback!
Hey i want to thank for ur work, helped me allot. It took me 10 min to do it like u said and… VOILA! it works xD! one question though if i want to see the origin of the players in my game like banlist has: /fromall , is it possible to see with listchecker?
Thanks everything works perfectly, exect nothing happens when i wright Pings:10 | bulbazaur: host, cargo.x.bay: 35ms, maleki: 24ms, camaya: 20ms, ishamael_86: 36ms, sweatbead: 18ms, sliper: 298ms, camel69: 72ms, EvGeN32: 75ms, siamese.x.gun: 35ms

Hahaha, nvm. Were about to say that nothing happens when i wright /pingclient.
Anyways thanks alot for the help guide it was very usefull
Something you might want to mention as an extra bit of info in your guide is that you can use /hostbnetpublic Game Name even if people have already joined your game. After I realized that, I started having all my friends join a private game and from there we could decide what modes we wanted to play or who was on what team then switch the game to public with a new name. You can also use it to change the games name if it isn’t getting the kind of results you want, really useful.

Hi guys i think i have an easy problem for u.All works normally but when i host a game this game does not do autorefresh and it doesnt respond when i type /refreshbnet or /pingclients either to the program or game.Pls help me.
is there a banlist in LC?
Wats the latest version of LC? one of player joined my game and he was telling me that i needed to upgrade LC to newer version. i started to search for the new version of LC but every LC on internet so far ive found is the exact same version i have.
@blast
once u type /refreshbnet , u cant see anything (it doesnt have apples like auto refresher from banlist) but it still does its job.
after you type /pingclient or /pingall, you are going to have to paste it by pressing ctrl + v
@questions
you can use both lc and banlist together
is there a way to speed up the auto refresher?
@ saady87 (327)
I’ve got exactly the same problem. I start LC and it’s completely random if he joins my game. I don’t know what the cause is, but what I’ve figured out yet:
1. You dont have to restart the comp to get him joining
2. You dont have to join/quit battle.net to get him joining
I just start and restart WcIII and LC and after 10-30 minutes he will eventually join, and he will stay until I restart the Pc. If you have any solutions by now, please tell me (rainfire@gmx.net). I’m still trying to figure out where the exact cause lies.
my LC worked totally find yesterday but today when i go on it didnt work when it got to there it seemed as if it froze help me plz D:

the applicatopn has failed to start because BNCSutil.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Hello. I’ve read your guide, and I would like to say that it was a great help, I’ve now been hosting with Listchecker for a few days, but now I want my friend to join me.
My friend got no CD-Key’s, we’ve been using hamachi for some years now I think, so we are used to that.
The problem is that when I host in local network, he can’t seem to see my server in the list. But the players from bnet can join my server(actually they swarm my server).
If you got time, could you maybe give me a little guide for it?
I also read about this command:
/sendlan : will show the game you host to the lan screen of the destination ip
(destination will need to have his port 6112 open and will need to go to the lan screen before host uses this command),
useful if the other guy cant connect to battle.net, and it doesnt need him to run this app on his computer at all
Might be that?
Thanks for your time.
@questions
just keep typing /refreshbnet fast

when this problem shows up you should DELETE Listchecker and extract the new one
becouse trying to rewrite the ckey WONT WORK. Now just enter the ckey in new extracted Listchecker/pickup.listchecker.ini without (123-123 / 123 123)
thats how i got it working, cya!
hope i helped.
I have done everything in the portforwarding thing and when i make a game no one joins still.
any suggestions?
I was wondering if anyone could inform me of a way to get list checker to work on eurobattle.net, pkp.listchecker joins my lan game but I get the same receiving wrong signature error.

Ugh, I’m so so sorry.. I got the server wrong that’s why. . Thanks for the tutorial! I love it!
I have installed LC and it’s working fine, but I have one more question.
Me and my friend play WC3 lanning quite a lot. It depends who use which PC.
Do I understand correctly if only I can host LC games, since my nick and password are saved in the .ini file? Or is it possible for him to host an LC game with his own Bnet account?
Thank you for this great guide op.

Hey! That’s an excellent guide, no flaws whatsoever. Thanks a lot!
How come I lag so much when I host with LC (I get delay myself even though im host). But when I host regularly without LC, I dont lag.
can anyone tell me why this autorefresh of LC doesnt work?

my gameplay - hostport is set to 6115, but it’s still not working.. i checked the INI file, but it still doesn’t let me host and a little box pops up everytime i tried to make a server.
@Sam
wc3 and lc, they shouldnt be using the same host port
when you run LC, doesnt it tell you that u cant use the same hostport ?
and when you cant host games on lc , you need to alt-tab out and check pickup list
cuz it tells you the reason you cannot host
HeyHeyHey, I am getting the same problem as you. I am getting delay while hosting. I don’t think it’s a LC problem because it happens of bnet, Garena, etc also. Do you know of a solution to it?
Hi I just downloaded LC. I can host normally through B-Net but am unable to host using LC. I open up LC then Warcraft 3 then go to Lan make and game. Then type /hostbnet Dota -rd us/ca 6.52c and no one can join. My friends say they get the grayed out screen where it is trying to connect but is failing. Any idea LC says im my game was created successfully.
I can’t get Listchecker to work (XP)

The problem is, when I then go and make a LAN game, pkp.listchecker never arrives.
Any ideas?
- Got same problem, though it worked a week ago -.-

—————-Found A Solution—————-
I would like to add one more step to the tutorial, for Part5b for Vista users:
1-You need to do the same step as Part5b this time for the file WinPcap_4_0_2.exe too.(if you have already installed the program you will need to reinstall it).
2-An error box will show up, just click on “Ignore” twice, after the installation is done it will ask you to reboot pc.
And thats how I got pickup.listchecker to work.
Yet, I still get an error myself (about a different issue though), its an already mentioned error but seems to me nobody found a solution for it, so I ‘ll “re whine” about it
After I enter the command “/hostbnetpublic Dota -Apem”, pickup.listcheker tabs and shows me an error “Couldnt find E:\Warcraft III\war3.exe\war3.exe”, my game directory is (E:\Warcraft III\war3.exe) and on the pickup.listchecker.ini file (war3dir=E:\Warcraft III\war3.exe) If you guys have already found a solution for this please repost it!
Try settign your directory as:
war3dir=E:\Warcraft III
instead of
war3dir=E:\Warcraft III\war3.exe
Yea, I have already tried that, but it did not help I still get the exact same error
“Couldnt find E:\Warcraft III\war3.exe\war3.exe”.
My friend say maybe it must be on directory “C:\Program Files\WarcraftIII” it doesn’t make sense though
Has noone found a solution to the “Error : couldnt open winpcap device” on vista systems? This is very frustrating
Of course, You need to do the same step as Part5b this time for the file WinPcap_4_0_2.exe. If you have already installed the program you will need to reinstall it.
It worked with me, well, try it!
YousiF, the war3dir field is the path to the DIRECTORY that war3.exe is in, not the path to the file. So it would be “E:\Warcraft III”
If it still doesn’t work try reinstalling LC
How can i get wc3 banlist to work with LC? when i host i write /fromall and nothing happends .. plz give me a advice how to get them to work with each other , i tryed /bnet /fromall to but it says it has nothing to take the orgin of or what ever .

Your gateway is WRONG! There is no “east.battle.net”, there is “useast.battle.net” so modify that in your .ini file to look like this:
bnetnetwork=useast.battle.net
Hey, whenever i type /hostbnetpublic GameName the bot doesn’t do anything, no reply, no error
ANSWER TO: FakeID
Hi! I hope that u first started Listchecker and then Warcraft III - Create Game. Make sure pkp.listchecker is in the game. If you typed /hostbnetpublic GameName in Warcraft III’s chat window and Listchecker doesn’t react, try entering it directly to Listchecker’s box. Then it has to be some reply or error. If, however isn’t, make sure that:
- you are connected to Internet
- your firewall isn’t blocking pkp.listchecker.exe (if you have a firewall, try turning it of or permit listchecker to access the Internet
- you have installed WinPcap (try uninstalling it, download newest version available and install that version)
- you have checked “Compatibility mode” to pkp.listchecker.exe if you are running Windows Vista
If still doesn’t work, just delete Listchecker’s files and download fresh - maybe there is some kind of error in your file(s).
Hope I helped!
Well I followed the tutorial all the way tell the local area net work hosting part. I see that pickuplistchecker joins. So im guessing I did everything right. After I try to go on Bnet. and host a game, when i host it, pickuplistchecker isnt in the slot anymore. nor is the game responding to my LC commands. What may be the problem ? (Answer soon please.)
Well I actually sort of figured out how to get it working, but when i type the command into the LC chart this comes up.

Hehe! I would have answered you, don’t worry, but I see you solved the problem!
I cant check ‘privelige level’ run this program as an administrator. I have Vista 64 running so, i was wondering,..
An other thing is when i type /hostbnetpublic i get an error saying: couldnt find C:\program files\warcraft3\War3.exe
So I think i need to enter the right one in my ini file, but i tried so many things already, even with C:\Program Files(x86)\etc
So if you have an idea? pls help me out here
Thank you
ANSWER TO: Bob
Hi! Here are the steps to run Listchecker on Windows Vista:
1. Right click at “pickup.listchecker.exe” and choose “Properties”
2. Click the “Compatibility tab”
3. Under “Privilege Level”, check “Run this program as an administrator”
4. Click OK
If you can’t check or don’t have “Compatibility tab”, just run Listchecker normally, it might work without running it as an Administrator. But if you see something’s wrong (some weird error comes from Vista), you could test it on real Administrator account. By default, it is disabled. To enable it:
1. Right click on “My Computer” and select “Manage”
2. Expand “Local Users and Groups”, click “Users”, right click at Administrator’s account and select “Properties”
3. Uncheck “Account is disabled” box and click OK
Master “Administrator” account is now enabled. Now, log off with your current account and log in with Administrator account.
Run Listchecker and see if there’s any changes. If it works now, then I suggest you to use Administrator’s account each time when hosting a game using Listchecker.
Your other problem is in the path of your Warcraft III folder. Check your “war3dir” in “pickup.listchecker.ini”:
war3dir=PATH_OF_WARCRAFT_III_FOLDER
If you have installed Warcraft III in default folder (Program Files), your “war3dir” should look like this:
war3dir=C:\Program Files\Warcraft III
or
war3dir=C:\Program Files\Warcraft3
Make sure Warcraft III files are really in specified folder! If you wrote correct patch to Warcraft III’s folder and still doesn’t work, try copying the whole Warcraft III folder to somewhere else, e.g.:
D:\Warcraft III
and then write to .ini file:
war3dir=D:\Warcraft III
That’s all I can suggest. Personally, I use Windows XP, but I think there shouldn’t be any problem running it on Windows Vista (especially 64 bit). But, on the other hand, maybe Listchecker really doesn’t work on Windows Vista 64 bit. I don’t know that, but I hope you will find a solution.
Greetings!

hey guys
did anybody find a solution for the “Error: couldnt open wincap device” i cant open the program
i’ve tried putting the files in the wc3 folder and doing it again and again, but it doesnt work!!
plz i need to know how to solve this
ANSWER TO: Moises
LOL! You either don’t have WinPcap installed or there’s an error with WinPcap. And, most likely, you are using Windows Vista. WinPcap is required for Listchecker to run. To solve your problem:
1. UNINSTALL (don’t just “delete”) WinPcap software (add/remove programs or “C:\Program Files\WinPcap\Uninstall.exe”).
2. Download new (latest) version of WinPcap from:
ht%tp:/%/ww%w.winpcap.org/install/default.htm
(copy full link to your browser and remove all % (3 here) and press Enter - my posts won’t show up if I write normal links, so I added % to look like non-link)
3. After install, restart your computer
4. Run Listchecker and there shouldn’t be error you mentioned
didnt work
i guess i’ll remove vista and get xp
thx anyway
Hey, I mean I got it to work and it works fine except 1 problem. It takes forrrrrrever for people to join. is this normal ? sometimes i also get msgs from friends and they say they freeze while attempting to join, but I see some people join. Normally when i host through bnet game fills up fast within… lets say 5 mins ill have full house and ill start vs. With LC it’ll take even an hour and thats with people always going in and out. Did i do something wrong for it to freeze people from trying to join ? I mean it does work, so far i got to play 2 games with it, but most of the time people hate waiting and they’ll just leave.
Please help
ANSWER TO: Kyu
Hmm, strange problem. Maybe it’s because of your game name. Try renaming it as “Dota -sd LC host” and when you got message from LC that your game was successfully created, wait 20 seconds.
If no one enters or just 1 or 2 player join(s), then I recommend you to use refresh command from Listchecker.
Just type in you Warcraft III’s chat windows or directly to LC box this command:
/refreshbnet
You may copy it and paste every 3 seconds. If you paste it too quickly, you may be disconnected and banned from Battle.net for 1-2 hour(s).
So, try refreshing and see what’s happens. Make sure you hosted your game public using command:
/hostbnetpublic game_name
when I start pickup.listchecker.exe, then appears a message in which is written that “wpcap.dll” couldn’t be found and pickup.listchecker doesn’t launch.
Thanks for the response but Thats exactly what I did before, I mean for some people its not a problem to join but for MOST people they get freeze. it is a weird issue. 2 out of 11 of my friends got to join, when I tested it out again last night. Randomly sometimes more sometimes less has freeze screen. I am aware I cant do too many commands or I get d/c and cant log back on. So I tend to be patient. Is there a possiblity maybe my internet connection is just too slow? I am using Cable, the 10mps package.
I think i did everything right but the ” pkp.listchecker ” didn’t join. Since my comp was a
window vista i set it as admin and tried again. Still it didn’t work.
what did i do wrong?
Help plz

i have to same exact problem, please update LC!
I dont think LC going to get a update, since the last update was like back in 2007
pickup.listchecker.exe 14-Jun-2008 06:20 560k
last time it was updated was 06/14/2008
Is it possible that this is intentional on Blizzards part? I always thought that Listchecker was in the green legally.
Worked just fine on me till the 1.22 patch like said above, anyways thanks for great guide

Yeah pkp.listerchecker doesn’t join my LAN games either. Must be the new patch, because I’ve set everything up correctly in the guide. Unsure though, it is my first time using it.
Everyone, see the very top of this tutorial. I updated it with a working version of listchecker.
Thanks again
Thanks!
hi guys my listchecker was just working yesterday but today it doesnt seem to want to join my games, i went ahead and installed new wincap version, created a new folder downloaded all the new files and opened listchecker opened wc3 but it did not join my game when created, but when i join a game on battle.net with listchecker running it last all the players and such, been trying to fix it for about 5 hours now its killing me any help would be great.

Thanks to all the previous information provided I’ve been able to figure out why I can’t host LC games. The problem is I can’t find a single port that will get through the open port check. Even though I’ve forwarded ports 6112-6119, ONLY 6112 gets through the open port check successfully. I’ve tried opening several other ports but they all fail the open port check.
This makes no sense whatsoever since 6112 works and I can host regular bnet games. Does anyone know a solution to this? I’ve got a DIR-100 router.
Great job with the FAQ and thanks to Krkljator for all his work in the comment section!

ANSWER TO: BooFoo
In order to your phrase in banlist automatically “press Enter”, just add an empty line in the end of command.
Here is an example for /refreshbnet command assigned to F2:
Name of Phrase:
F2_refreshbnet
Text to be written:
“/refreshbnet
”
I added quotes “” in the beginning and in the end of text to be written so you can see that the end is in 2nd line which is empty - doing so, your command (in this case /refreshbnet) will automatically “press Enter” so you don’t have to!
Remove quotes and add an empty line in the end and it will work!
ANSWER TO: boon
When LC reports an error “Failed to hash war3 key”, it means you have misspelled your CD-Key(s). Most likely, you tried change them (and failed) when they were encrypted. Just erase that encrypted signs and write them again like this:
bnetkey1=WARCRAFT3-ROC-CDKEY-HERE
bnetkey2=FROZEN-THRONE-CDKEY-HERE
Note that you HAVE TO write them AFTER “=”, not after “=e:”
After you have written them, save .ini file, close it and start LC and it will be encrypted.
ANSWER TO: Shimabukuro
It seems you have problem with CD-Key(s). Either one or both CD-Keys are invalid/pirate (won’t work on battle.net) or you misspelled them. Check your CD-Keys again, delete all signs after “bnetkey1=” and type” your Reign of Chaos CD-Key. Do that for second CD-Key - after “bnetkey2=” type your The Frozen Throne CD-Key.
After you have written them, save .ini file, close it and start LC and both CD-Keys will be encrypted. If there are valid on b.net, you should be able to host games, otherwise no hosting for you…
ANSWER TO: Olle
You have problem with port opening/forwarding… Please, read my thorough part of tutorial dedicated to ports and maybe you find solution.
If you have already read that and still can’t configure it to work, then try this:
You said that only opened port is 6112. Of course it is only opened while your Warcraft III is started (connected to battle.net or LAN) because only Warcraft uses that port. In “pkp.listchecker.ini” try to assign port 6111 and then start LC, connect to battle.net typing “/openbnet” and when you are successfully connected to b.net via LC, go to open port check website and test ports 6111 and 6112. If both are open, you are able to host games, but if only 6112 is opened, you will have to assign that port to LC in order to host games via LC. Close both Warcraft III and LC. Open pkp.listchecker.ini and type port 6112 instead of 6111. Save .ini file and don’t start LC. Start Warcraft III, go to Options and Gameplay and in port box, erase 6112 and type 6111 or 6113, and press OK. Go to Local Area Network, press Alt-Tab or Winkey and start LC and try to connect to b.net via LC by typing /openbnet. If the logon is successful, try to host a game - I think that should work.
Best regards
Just to add a link where you can download standalone 1.22 patch and install it without being connected to the Internet. This update package is provided by Garena and I think new patch can be applied even to copied versions of Warcraft III. There is no standalone updater from Blizzard, but this will help. Here is the link:
(link) ht%tp:/%/download3.garena.com/soft/WCIII1.22Patch.exe
(copy full link to your browser and remove all % (2 here) and press Enter - that should work).

ANSWER TO: Florian
I already answered to this king of question…
Check your Warcraft III address path in pkp.listchecker.ini - “war3dir=”
Let’s say you installed Warcraft III to its default address (C:\Program Files\) so your “war3dir=” should look like this:
war3dir=C:\Program Files\Warcraft III
If you have installed Warcraft III to somewhere else, just enter that address path. If still can’t war3.exe, then copy or move Warcraft III installation to somewhere else, let’s say to “D:\Games\Warcraft III”, and your “war3dir” should look like this:
war3dir=D:\Games\Warcraft III
Just try that and LC will work.
ANSWER TO: Batschie
1. Permit/allow listchecker.exe in your firewall(s)
2. Run LC before creating a game
3. Try to reinstall WinPcap
4. Make sure your ports (6111 or 6112) are opened as they should be
5. If still nothing, read my tutorial from the beginning to the end, and I am sure you will find a solution to your problem. Just scroll up to comment number 691.
well ive got this problem where some of my friends are unable to join my games when i host LC, and some are
ANSWER TO: ah
Well, that is strange error. I have never experienced that before. I will try to give you some ideas to solve this, although I don’t know would that work at all. Just try this:
1. Did you try to host a game without LC to see if this problem is caused by LC or generally, something’s wrong?
2. If this happens only with LC, then maybe it’s caused by your firewall (some advanced option to permit certain IPs). Try to turn it off.
3. Try to re-install WinPcap - install latest version available
4. Try giving multiple game names. For an example, create private game named “friends1″ by typing “/hostbnet friends1″. When some of your friends join, rename that game name to something different, let’s say “friends20″ - type “/hostbnet friends20″. I recommend to refresh it sometimes using “/refreshbnet” (although it is private game).
5. If your friends don’t see your game in LAN, maybe they/you have different versions (patches) - you all need to have the same version (patch) to play together. Latest Warcraft III patch is v1.22.
Good luck!
I need some help with plc, i had it working b4 but then new router came and i lost all my port forwarding info, now i set it and i can host but plc doesn’t work, any help here?
i think im suppose to set a port on my router for plc
i have already set it on firewall
Hi there. Got following situation:
As soon as I open a LAN game listchecker joins game is in LAN visible.
My room mate joins -> instandly gets kicked.
I am able to host games in bnet but not with my room mate.
I tryed to shut down listchecker mate joins, started listchcker -> joins game (but my mate is not in the player list of listchecker) I start the game mate gets fatal and leaves. Just to be clear: I want to play bnet games with my mate connected via LAN on bnet. worked fine pre patch. Any ideas?

ANSWER TO: Yomas
If you say that new patch (1.22) caused this problem, then I can’t help you… But I also got some problems when I share my Internet connection with my friend so my friend has the same Internet IP as I do. I host a game with LC - all fine, but if my friend connects go b.net and JOIN to some game, my LC disconnects all players in my server and starts monitoring my friend’s activity - as I he hosted a game using LC…
So, I think you have similar problem. You two have the same Internet IP address which makes problems to LC…
ListChecker dont steal the cd-key of user?
whenver i open wc3 i go to lan and listchecker is inthe game, i type /bnethostpublic “gamename” and nothing happens. so i tab out and get this message

nevermind i messed around and fixed my problem, thanks for the great tutorial
I asked before but my question was far from clear.
When I tried to open the updated listchecker after downloading it, I get this error.
“This application has failed to start because BNCSutil.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.”
Reinstalling what? Should I redownload the initial listchecker?
Help
Hello,
i had a working listchecker in the previous patch, i dlded the new LC version (and the new WC3 patch) and now when i host LAN game i see pkp joining my game but when i do /hostbnet NAME nothing happens :((
i see in log the message “connection ot bnet failed” or something like that… why? my port 6112(for LC) and 6113(for hosting with WC3 but not needed here..) are still forwarded…
ANSWER TO: Mateus
Yes, LC steals all your CD-Keys and sends directly to me! MUHAHAHHAHA!
OMG, of course not! I am just joking!
As soon as you type your CD-Keys and password to your account, save configuration file (pkp.listchecker.ini) and start LC. Then, LC will say that your CD-Keys and password are ENCRYPTED in .ini file. If you open that pkp.listchecker.ini file after it got encrypted, you can see some strange characters on CD-Keys’ and password’s position. That way, you or whoever opens pkp.listchecker.ini CAN’T determine CD-Keys and password, but LC can use that information only for itself, without revealing it.
So, it’s secure to input your CD-Keys and password in LC, but if your are so afraid someone will reveal it, you can delete pkp.listchecker.ini file whenever you don’t use LC…
ANSWER TO: RickJamesbitch
LOL! I think you ONLY have “pickup.listchecker.exe” in folder, without “BNCSutil.dll” file, which results an error when starting LC. The only file that is updated to work with new 1.22 patch is “pickup.listchecker.exe” which still needs “BNCSutil.dll” to work. So, you need to put “BNCSutil.dll” from older version of LC to solve your problem.
ANSWER TO: Elstak
Hi! Most likely, your firewall is blocking “pkp.listchecker.exe” so it can’t connect to Battle.net. Updated “pkp.listchecker.exe” is modified and isn’t the same as previous one, so you have to allow (again) that file in your firewall.
Note that when you haven’t opened/forwarded ports, you still must be able to connect to Battle.net and do “/hostbnetpublic game_name”, but although LC will say your game was successfully created, no one could join.
So, your problem isn’t ports, but something else - I think is firewall…
If it isn’t firewall and you still can’t solve the problem, then copy-paste here the entire message that LC says when something is wrong. It starts like this:
“Connecting to europe.battle.net…”
Some others probably have the same problem. But i could host perfectly before the patch. And with the other LC version. But i did what the guide told me to. And when i try to host, LC just says:
Connecting to europe.battle.net on port 6112
Connected
Sending auth info
ok new error:
when i try to make a game in lan, pickuplist person joins my game then leaves then joins then leaves and it keeps joining and leaving so i cannot host a game…?

I havent any firewall , i reinstalled wincap about 3 times, lc about 10 times and still dosnt work… :S help please
And my ports are openned btw
Hi, my problem is different:
everything works fine for me except: when all ppl join my game and I start game, everyone disconnects from game, I didn’t see similar problem anywhere….
where can be a problem ?
ANSWER TO: Kukamanga
You say that you can normally host a game before new patch/new LC. All I can say to you is:
1. problem with firewall - since this is new (updated) file “pkp.listchecker.exe”, most firewalls detects it as new application trying to access the Internet, so you will have to re-enable/re-allow it. Just delete “old” exception and add this one (although it is the same name)
2. make sure file “BNCSutil.dll” is in same folder as “pkp.listchecker.exe” because new/updated version of LC still needs “BNCSutil.dll” to work properly
3. check all your settings in “pkp.listchecker.ini”. I suggest deleting it and filling out new one. Maybe there is something wrong that you can’t see.
That’s all I can suggest you to do. Good luck!
ANSWER TO: magicdock
All I can see from you log file is that your LC leaves 1 second after it joined. Funny problem, never experienced it. You didn’t say if LC worked before new patch (before 1.22)? Maybe you use 1.21 patch on updated version of LC… If so, update your Warcraft III to 1.22 patch and you will need updated version of LC as well (if you have non-updated version). If this isn’t your case, check this steps:
1. Disconnect from Internet. Turn off your firewall or make an exception to “pkp.listchecker.exe”. Start LC first, then Warcraft III. In Warcraft III, click on Local Area Network and Create a Game. pkp.listchecker should join too, without leaving. Press Winkey or Alt-Tab, connect to Internet, connect LC to Battle.net using “/openbnet” and then create a game using “/hostbnetpublic game_name”.
2. If pkp.listchecker still joins and then automatically leaves when you create a game in off-line mode, something else is wrong. Try exiting all applications you don’t need at that moment. Re-install WinPcap - download the latest version available and install that version. Restart computer and try hosting again, both in on-line and off-line mode - see which helps.
Good luck!
ANSWER TO: gl2u
From your log file, I see that your connection to Battle.net is closed just when you try to connect. The problems may be this:
1. Check all settings in “pkp.listchecker.ini”, especially gateway, CD-Keys, account name and password. I think one or more errors in “pkp.listchecker.ini” prevent you to connect to Battle.net
2. You can’t host a game in Battle.net using non-original CD-Key(s)…
3. If you have entered all correctly, make sure your firewall is turned off or there’s an exception in it to “pkp.listchecker.exe” to permit LC to access the Internet.
4. WinPcap is required for LC to work. I recommend to uninstall it, download the latest version available, install it, restart computer and try hosting again.
Good luck!
ANSWER TO: KieL
I suppose your friend uses the same Internet connection as you do, so you both have the same Internet IP address. That causes problems. For LC, there could be only one Internet IP address that connects to Battle.net on port 6112. Thus, second connection kicks first connection. This problem is only in LC so you can’t play games on Battle.net at the same time - with the same Internet IP address.
ANSWER TO: Daniel123
Make sure you use updated version of LC and you have installed WinPcap. If you aren’t sure which version of WinPcap you have, just uninstall it, download the latest available, and install that version. In Windows Vista, you have to start LC as an Administrator even though your account has Administrator’s rights. Exit any opened LC, and do this:
1. Right click at pickup.listchecker.exe and choose Properties
2. Click the Compatibility tab.
3. Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as an administrator.
4. Click OK
Now start LC. This should work!
ANSWER TO: frank
It seems there’s an error in “pkp.listchecker.ini” file. Check this:
1. Open “pkp.listchecker.ini” and check all settings. I recommend deleting it all and re-inputting it because there could be something wrong that you can’t see
2. Make sure your gateway, CD-Keys, user name and passwords are correct.
3. Make sure you have WinPcap installed
That’s all I can suggest to you…
ANSWER TO: Schmitty
1. Make sure you start LC before creating a game in Warcraft III.
2. You have problems with ports. See my tutorial about that.

ANSWER TO: BigBoo
If you haven’t read my tutorial yet, read it and I am sure you will find a solution to your problem - just click on my name “Krkljator.CF” which is red color labeled and it will direct you to my tutorial.
If you can’t find a solution, most likely that new 1.22 patch causes this problem of your. Make sure you have updated Warcraft III to 1.22 patch, and downloaded updated version of LC.
“listchecker_updated.zip” only contains “pkp.listchecker.exe”, but you still need to have “BNCSutil.dll” in the same folder as “pkp.listchecker.exe”.
Check your “”pkp.listchecker.ini” once again - I suggest deleting all settings and inputting new - maybe there’s an error you can’t see.

OK PEOPLE!
I JUST WANT TO SAY SOMETHING HERE (I will write some parts caps-locked for better understanding!)
*1.* Before posting your problem/comment, PLEASE READ THE TUTORIAL FROM THE BEGINNING OF THIS PAGE (it’s Quan Quach’s tutorial which I find very helpful and easy to use), OR YOU CAN FIND MY TUTORIAL HERE - CLICK ON MY NAME WHICH IS RED COLOR LABELED AND IT WILL DIRECT YOU TO MY TUTORIAL. [which is on this site - if you haven't found it yet]
*2.* I have spent a LOTS OF HOURS making MY TUTORIAL just to help you all configuring ListChecker. It is amazing peace of software and it needs someone to promote it, make tutorial, etc… Quan Quach was so kind to run this website with his LC tutorial which made this website grow to forum by your comments (questions) every day. I, too, downloaded LC from this very site. Every time I went to this site, there were only questions, so I was kind enough to help you even more than Quan Quach did, by making more extended, comprehensive LC tutorial. I put most of my knowledge about LC in my tutorial and explained a lot of common problems and much more!
*3.* WHAT MAKES ME ANGRY is when someone is lazy enough NOT TO READ MY TUTORIAL and just ask questions about simple problem DESCRIBED in my tutorial. I am sure that Quan Quach was like me initially - he was answering all of your (noob) questions regularly until he kept answering the same thing over and over.
So, PLEASE, all you can do to make me happier is to READ MY TUTORIAL BEFORE POSTING A COMMENT/QUESTION! At least you own me that much - no one rewarded me or something like that for making my tutorial (which I think is very very good). I did it all by myself without any benefits!
If you have any questions or problems like one explained above, post it here or e-mail me: krkljator@yahoo.com

I don’t really know what to do since it has always worked before ;s

LC works fine..thanks for the great tutorial.
But now i have a problem with my banlist…it won’t work when i host with LC!
When i join a game there is no problem and my banlist works, but when i host i can’t ban people.
So i tried to host a game without LC to see if LC is the problem, but now i’m no longer able to host games without LC,even it is not running!!
THX for u’re hlp
I might found our problem Zany.
@ Blizzard support site: “If only one Battle.net Realm is inaccessible to you, then it may just be a temporary connection problem or a temporary restriction. Battle.net access may be restricted (for up to 14 days) for one of the following reasons:
• Spamming text in the chat channel (often associated with bots)
• Rapidly connecting/disconnecting to Battle.net (often associated with bots)
• Repeated attempts to use an invalid CD-Key or an incorrect Battle.net password.
• Repeated use of a third-party programs (hacks)
• Attempting to connect to Battle.net using an invalid CD key
• Multiple users connecting to Battle.net using the same IP address”
So, it seems as if we’ve been doing something wrong atleast ;P
• Repeated attempts to use an incorrect Battle.net password. -> damn xD
thx mate ill try it in 14days again then i post here if im able to host or not
err can u ban with listchecker too ? or do i have to activate wc3banlist ?
ANSWER TO: Roy and snoopy
USING LC for banning:
LC doesn’t have banning function, so you need to use WC3 Banlist for that. I recommend using Phrases and assigning them to hotkeys, so when someone leaves, all you need to do is press that hotkey (let’s say F8) and that player would be banned (in your local database).

i know that LC can’t ban.i have banlist, but when i host with LC and i write the ingame comment for banlist, it doesn’t ban the player…i allways have go to the desktop and create a new ban for the player manuel.
so my question is, why does the ingame comment doesn’t work…
thx
P.S.: i read your Tutorial, but i don’t think it solves my problem…or does it?
ANSWER TO: Roy
Well, it should solve your problem by creating Phrase commands in Banlist and assigning them to hotkeys. Since you host a game with LC by clicking on Local Area Network rather than connecting to battle.net, Banlist won’t work because it thinks you aren’t connected to Battle.net at all, so in-game commands to Banlist won’t work either.
But when you assign a valid Phrase command to Banlist and press hotkey, it will be executed inside Banlist for sure!
Open Banlist, go to Preferences and to Phrases. I will give you an example of command how to use ban via hotkey.
Let’s create a new Phrase by clicking on + sign. Give your phrase a name, let’s say “Ban”. Below is “Text to be written” - there you should write your command (what you want to write in game which doesn’t work, but it work via phrases). Type this within quotes:
”
/ban $lastleaver LEAVER ($state now) after $gametime in game “$gametitle” on $realm ($day/$month/$year), (banned by $nick)
$shiftenter$lastleaver is BANNED for leaving this game after $gametime! Stay till the end because it is *$state* now!
”
That space at the end is REQUIRED as it tells Banlist to “press Enter”.
To assign it to hotkey, right click on phrase name and “Assign Hotkey” and choose one from 8 function keys. Note if you choose F2 or F3 or F4 as hotkey, it will activate Banlist command when you wish to control your 2nd or 3rd or 4th Meppo hero in game!
There a lot you can do with Phrases so go and take a good look at it. Good luck!
Good news!
If you like my tutorial, you would like it more soon when you see it at the top of new page here on blinkdagger! It would be labeled as Listchecker Part II.
Thanks to Quan Quach and Daniel who recognised my good deed to help people, I have my own account here on blinkdagger allowing me to adjust my tutorial so it could look better, add some picture of course (it’s hard to follow mass text without any picture), etc…
It will be finish soon - about a day or so. I will add some FAQs in to, so I wouldn’t have to answer the same questions over and over!
Krkljator.CF i have a question for you.
I play DotA usually with my mates on European bnet server and since i have bad upload speed, my mates create always and i join, but i wanted to try if i can connect through my list checker to his game, but whenever i type /fb , some window pop up and then just disapear, no game is show on local area network also, and i cant join… I didn’t see anyone here having this problem… if you can and you want you can explain me all on your language because i understand it all, you can add me djordjebeko@hotmail.com msn, contact me HITMAN_91 in europe bnet, send email on djordjebeko@hotmail.com, or you can reply here. Reason i wanted to do this is because i belive if i connect through lc to his lc game, it will be much less delay, 10-15ms or less, cuz atm is always around 20.
I hope you will answer this as soon as possible, even if i prefer chat on msn or bnet.
Thanks.
How come everytime i click pickup.listchecker.ini I could not see anything on the Notepad? It is always syntax error.
ANSWER TO: DaDopeman
If opening with Notepad fails, you can open it with any other text editor program like: WordPad, Microsoft Office Word, UltraEdit…
Your error was most likely caused by some king of virus so Notepad lost association for opening .ini files. Open Registry Editor (Start -> Run: regedit) and modify existing setting to match this one:
If you can’t open/edit .bat files with Notepad either, do this too:
hey ya im getting this error wich is stupid and im confusled

Now, my error is “couldnt open winpcap device” when i clicked pickup.listchecker.exe
Thanks a lot for this very clear tutorial, good job man
new question! this is what the LC tells me:
How come i still could not host? LC does not confirm that a game is created.
OK ever time i try to host i get an error message saying couldent locate
C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\war3.exehow can i fix this!!! Note: i am running vistaANSWER TO: Sleekdog
I already answered to that kind of question. I would appreciate if you and others just scroll up for older comments - after all, there are about 800 comments!
Use browser search feature Ctrl-F and type some words about your problem and I am sure you will find either on my tutorial or here on comments.
So, the problem is in Windows Vista! In order to solve your problem, you have to move or copy Warcraft III installation to somewhere else, let’s say:
C:\Games\Warcraft IIIorD:\Warcraft IIIyea my LC is working now, but i could not ping. how would my ping works?

keet getting that on the litle battle.net window of LC
Ive changed ports on wc and on INI file
I’ve tryed putting them both the same and all that happens is that the pkp.listchecker wont join
whats worked is putting them different like INI file at port 6112
and wc game port at 6113
I can host on regular Battle.net fine and i use XP
I’ve tryed reinstallin like a million times
I’ve been able to host w/ LC and sometimes people can join but i refresh and at first ppl join but if 1 leaves the spot can never be refilled no one joins after.
Then i exit and try to host again and i get that message ^
Failed to hash War3 cd key? what???? everything is perfect but idk…. someone?
I have a little question
What to do after hosting the game only LC join the game why?
Hi, I finally got everything to work. Except one thing…
I host and everything but no one joins. I read some previous posts and I understand that the port in the .ini and in gameplay options should be the same.
But when I change them to the same I get an errormessage wich says it cant be the same cause wc3 is already using it or something like that. And then it asks me if I want it to automatically switch to different ports. Same messagewindow as the picture in part 4 of the tutorial.
So I’d appreciate some help either here or on my mail; timjan_malm@hotmail.com
Cheers.
Aight i couldn’t find anything regarding my question, so here we go xD
“incorrect password” pops up when i try to host, i cancelled out of LAN, go to BNet and log on, same name, same password (retyped both at least 10 times). Thats the only error i have now, and it sure is pissin me off! >< everything else seems to be perfect, just the “Incorrect password” Crap.
dude make sure your password are only letters
MESSAGE TO ALL:
As you maybe already seen, new text style has been applied to remove some bugs in text. When writing comments, note that when you want an empty line, just press Enter twice and you will got it. That is necessary when copy-pasting log from LC, usually the one that starts with:
“Connecting to europe.battle.net on port 6112″
…
If I don’t answer your question soon, just check Quan Quach’s tutorial from the top of this page or
my tutorial which looks a bit messy right now because of changes in text style, but I am working on improved tutorial which will be posted on new page soon and will look great. I will add pictures/screenshoots too!
It takes a LOT of time, so just wait until it’s posted (2-3 days from now I suppose)… Until then, just be good and DO NOT post the same questions before you search here for already answered questions!
I need help on this, i can hear it work but i dont see anything
god ima try to re download this,..
see if that helps
Hey i tried this out, and i can host and all, but no one can join, i tried as u said, Checklist and war3 game port must be the same, (6112) as for me, but the checklist wouldnt agree to have the same Port.. i tried to click on no, but it reject me.. so i have to make check list to have 6112 and war3 to have 6113, but no one can join.
invalid bnet2cdkey in .inifile: and i know it is right cause im looking at the case sitting in front of me so looking for help everything else works fine just not the frozen throne cdkey
ANSWER TO: Tazdingo
1. Open pickup.listchecker.ini
2. Delete all after
bnetkey2=3. Then write your The Frozen Throne CD-Key
4. Save .ini file
5. Run pickup.listchecker.exe!
I think you wrote your CD-Key after
bnetkey2=e:which is WRONG, type it afterbnetkey2=Example:
bnetkey2=EF7459-HX2N-1CK6C8-JCRE-9T6WZZMake sure you type your CD-Key(s) correctly!
Cya!
I’m not so sure on putting my CD keys up on this program. I have doubts on its safety.
ANSWER TO: StumpyJoe
Here is the fact: NOTHING IS SAFE!
LC will encrypt both of your CD-Keys so that they will look like:
bnetkey1=e:D8838B93BD697D0A1B1BE0F8A7146026EC3BD09E65EB020B1A91bnetkey2=e:CAD235F4A8441409D25F40C647567631D1A590CB8A8E7B978120
No one is forcing you to use LC!
Cya!
yea i see what i did thx for making me triple check it
working ty ty
Is there any way to decrypt your cd key once it has been encrypted by LC?
Hey
My listchecker seems to be working fine, every thing u said in ur guide is exactly what it does but, no ones joining

I’m wondering how do you host if you have to change your port number. It is usually 6112 but listchecker switches it to 6113. I try to host but no one joins the games so I guess the host does not work. I also have Vista and I might think that it causes problems for the program. I have to type the commands into the listchecker instead of in the chat line ingame. I type /hostbnetpublic gameName in listchecker and that works. When I try /pingclients nothing happens at all and it tells me that it is an invalid command. Please help me if you can.
when you type /pingclients or /pc do you then ctrl+v it into the chat line?
hi i just installed listchecker and the pkp.listchecker joins my game when i am creating one in my local area network but if i write /hostbnetpublic ( for exemple : /hostbnetpublic dota -ap lc-host!_ ) nothing happens except that only “/hostbnetpublic dota -ap lc-host!_” will appear in the chatroom. and when i “alt-tab” out of warcraft it says :
” Couldnt find C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Listchecker\war3.exe ”
please i need your help
and i wonder if there is a way to host a game without having to turn off my firewall (windows xp) please tell me if there is a way thank you very much
I’ve been using listchecker for a couple of weeks now and its been working fine but today I tried hosting a game on listchecker using the /hostbnetpublic gamename command and it didn’t host I checked listchecker and in the battlenet box all it says is Connecting to uswest.battle.net, port:6112 and it just stays that way forever and does not host. I haven’t made any changes to my computer since last hosting and would like to know if anyone knows how to fix this problem or is having the same problem.
to add to my earlier post above ^^
When I type /hostbnetpublic gamename It neither says failed to create game nor successfully created game as it did yesterday.
ok i just found out I can host LC on east, but west won’t connect any reason why that might be?
Keep getting the error of
invalid configuration in INI file
Bnetwork=europe.battle.net
rest is blank
i have tried reinstalling and completing a new ini file but it still gives me this error.
Hey i did evrything as followed but when i open the list checker exe file

What a good tutorial, it was a great help. Thank you, wont forgett this
Hey thx for a great tutorial.
I have a problem though, i open the LAN and pkp.listchecker joins
then I write /openbnet or /hostbnetpublic nicho
nothing happends, I do ALT + TAB and I see a window that says:
INVALID configuration in ini.file
bnetwork= europe.battle.net
bnetkey1=
bnetkey2=
bnetacc= bnetaccounthere
bnetpass=accountpasswordhere
war3dir= C:/Program Files/Warcraft III/
It seems it didn’t save the things I wrote. Because when I then open my listchecker folder which is in my wc3 folder, everything is filled
bnetkey1= blabla
bnetkey2= blabla
bnetacc= blabla
etc.
for some reason it doesn’t save this. Can any1 help me here?
damned, forgot to say, the port i filled is 6111 but it doesn’t question that

It seems you have many questions to ask, many problems to solve. I won’t explain how to solve it 1 by 1 because it is all nicely described in my LC tutorial. It is currently in finishing phase and will be out in 1-2 days. I will give you a link you that all your problems can be solved.
Till then, search here for your answer. Press Ctrl+F in your browser and type some word about your problem. Maybe you will find what you want.
Cheers!
[...] I have been using LC for about a year now and it works perfectly as since I first installed it. However, it takes some time to configure, but it is worth of effort. I will explain basic options, although the initial guide by Quan Quach is very helpful for using LC too. So, if you are new to LC, I suggest to read the initial guide first –> Listchecker Part I. Hey, I’m having some problems… actually just one problem: I’ve set up everything like such:
[pickup]
bnetnetwork=uswest.battle.net
bnetkey1=”"
bnetkey2=”"
bnetacc=Obside
bnetpass=”"
war3dir=C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III
hostport=6112
It’s all good, and my keys are correct. I run the .exe file, and the first box pops up. I select yes (god forbid I select cancel) and nothing happens.
In fact, I just now hit exit at the top, and it ran through a series of message boxes saying “your key has been encrypted in the ini,” “your password has been encrypted in the ini.” And now, nothing is happening again. In the tutorial it says I should see a box, but I don’t. What’s up with this program? Is it because of 64-bit Vista? =(
My email is xarke@live.com if anybody wants to help.
